CONTROL PREDICTIVO BASADO EN EL MODELO DEL PROCESO DE CRISTALIZACION DE LA SACAROSA

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se aborda la aplicación del control predictivo basado en el modelo (MPC) al proceso periódico de cristalización de la sacarosa en los evaporadores a simple efecto en bach o tachos de la industria azucarera. Sobre la base del modelo elaborado por el autor, el cual resulta no lineal e invariante con el tiempo, con dos variables de entrada (flujo de licor de alimentación y temperatura del vapor en la calandria) y una variable de salida (la sobresaturación del licor madre), se obtiene mediante simulación un modelo lineal en variables de estado, a partir del cual se elabora el predictor en formato mod de MATLAB para el diseño del MPC correspondiente. Mediante simulación se verifica el carácter adecuado del desempeño del sistema MISO tomando como variable de salida del mismo el grado de sobresaturación del licor madre en que crecen los cristales de azúcar, así como el crecimiento del diámetro promedio del cristal esférico equivalente del mismo.
