STUDI PERBANDINGAN KINERJA ANTARA STATCOM INVERTER SPWM DENGAN STATCOM INVERTER SEGI EMPAT

Abstract

Parameter daya yang selalu berubah pada jaringan transmisi ac mempengaruhi kemampuan jaringan dalam mentransfer daya. Agar jaringan transmisi ac ini dapat bekerja secara optimal, maka dibutuhkan cara untuk mengendalikan parameter daya itu sendiri. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengkompensasi jaringan menggunakan STATCOM. STATCOM ini merupakan kompensator yang berbasiskan konverter arus atau tegangan. Dalam hal ini STATCOM menggunakan inverter tiga fasa. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan simulasi perbandingan kinerja STATCOM dengan inverter tiga fasa segi empat dan inverter tiga fasa SPWM. Disini akan dilihat bagaimana perbedaan parameter yang digunakan pada kondisi yang sama. Simulasi dilakukan pada tiga keadaan yaitu saat kampensator tanpa filter, saat cos phi yang dicapai sama dan saat kompensator menggunakan filter yang disimulasikan untuk kedua variasi inverter pada STATCOM. Dari simulasi yang dilakukan dapat dibuktikan bahwa STATCOM merupakan kompensator yang fleksibel. Jenis inverter yang digunakan pada STATCOM mempengaruhi kualitas daya yang dihasilkannya. STATCOM dengan menggunaknn inverter SPWM menghasilkan THD arus sistem yang lebih rendah dengan faktor daya sistem lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan STATCOM yang menggunakan inverter segi empat.
