Abstract

This article is a continuation of the author’s publications dealing with the fundamental problems of psychology. Attention is paid to the scientific definitions and correlation of such psychological concepts as "conscious" and "unconscious", "realised" and "non-realised", "recognition" and "understanding", "subject", "subjectivity", "subjectness", as well as "personality" and "activity". For example, the concept of "personality" that characterises the person as a subject of social relations, is associated with the concept of "consciousness". The recognition allows the absorption of human social relations and the development of his personality, and the inclusion of a person as personality in social relations provides the appearance of his consciousness. Personal development and the emergence of consciousness are interdependent social and psychological phenomena. Another example: in order to distinguish the "activity" and "process", the author proposes to build on the wider concept of "action", considering both the process and the activities as a special form of action, with its own peculiarities. Thus, under the "activity" it seems appropriate to understand a conscious form of activity. In turn, the correlation between activity with the process of consciousness and the connection between consciousness and personality are responsible for the link between the concepts of "activity" and "personality". As the results of the study an expanded model of categorical system of psychology is offered, in which the main categories of psychology are presented in terms of their logical and functional relations
