<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Quasicrystal-containing materials are usually prepared by rapid solidification of the melt (e.g. by melt spinning) or mechanical alloying. In this work, the method using exothermic reactions between compressed metallic powders called SHS (Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis) was tested.
