Abstract
The Reid Building by Steven Holl architects takes as its starting point a number of characteristics and qualities from the original Glasgow School of Art Building, recently voted 'Britain's favourite Building'. This short article explores just how that is achieved in architectural terms and examines how the building addresses the issue of 'newness' within the context of an environment for creative practitioners.
