The Business Librarians Association (BLA) undertakes\ud a biannual benchmarking survey in order\ud to compile a picture of academic business librarians\ud and the services offered in their libraries. The\ud latest survey, conducted over the summer of 2009,\ud included a section on the use of social media by\ud business librarians. This section focused specifically\ud on Twitter, Facebook and blogs, the main\ud question being whether they were used personally\ud or professionally.
