This is the second in a series of working\ud papers published by the Higher Education\ud Academy to disseminate information about\ud the project entitled 'What is learned at\ud university: the social and organisational\ud mediation of university learning' (SOMUL).\ud This second working paper focuses on the\ud organisational mediation of learning, i.e. how\ud institutional characteristics shape the\ud student experience and resultant learning\ud outcomes within an increasingly diverse\ud higher education system.
