Combinatorial libraries and the evaluation of diversity

This paper reviews quantitative techniques for the analysis of molecular diversity and the algorithms that are used to select structurally diverse sets of compounds. These procedures are exemplified by a program, called SELECT, which we have developed for the design of structurally diverse, drug-like combinatorial libraries.
