An error in the Ångstrom pyrheliometric scale

The poor thermal conductivity of the blackening applied to the receiving strips of the Ångström pyrheliometer has the consequence that equalizing the temperatures of the back surfaces does not strictly equalize the temperatures of the front surfaces.
