Abstract
The article considers the investigation of numismatic materials, which were excavated in the burial-mound of a Turk royal family member in Mongolia. The study of the items required a more accurate definition of the special terms used for the findings of such a kind: a coin, a coin imitation, and a coin indication. The attribution of the numismatic complex allow dividing it in three parts; each of them contains the maximum of similar “national” sings: the Byzantine, the Sassanid, and the Sogdian ones.
