Having founded the new Centre for Prevention of Stroke and Dementia (CPSD) to allow junior/intermediate colleagues to develop their programmes, my own research will continue to focus on better phenotyping of TIA and stroke and of known risk factors in order to substantially improve the targeting of preventive treatments.
