"The Labex tried to promote research, if possible jointly, in the three institutions through at least 3 channels: - The funding of projets - The organization of seminars and conferences - Education A) The funding of projects, which encourages collaboration between the different members of the institutions or outside researchers. The Labex has also proved important for research projects involving the acquisition of costly data. Since the launching of the Labex, 4 calls for proposals were launched and more than 200 projects accepted. B) The organization of seminars, workshop and conferences where, most of the time, interactions between partnering institutions took place. 76 joint seminars, involving at least two of our three institutions, were given. Since its beginning, more than 28 conferences and 11 workshops at least partly funded by the Labex were organized. In 2016, several conferences were organized, such as the Meeting in Mathematical Statistics (co-funded by Ecodec) and the Conference ""Advances in the Economics of Antitrust and Consumer Protection"". We also developed contribution to internal seminars: Finance Seminars, Marketing, Statistics Seminars, Sustainable Economic and Financial Development Seminars. C) Education The Labex Ecodec continued to foster education in 2016. In September 2016, sixteen new Phd students have been funded through the Labex funds. Since the beginning of the Labex, 55 Phd and 7 post doc grants were thus allocated. The Labex Ecodec also contributed to the successful launch of the Master in Economics, in particular by granting 5 master students merit scolarships for 2016-2017."
