The described element is intended to provide a substantial information about the protected document if stolen, and then tracked. Its major use is supposed for archives, galeries, museums, art collections etc. It contains a combination of specific elements from the periodic table with a distinctive XRF response. Ususally there are four elements in use. Their combinations when using their diffrent amounts, typically up to 5 levels for each, allow a high number of codes to be encrypted.
