History, present and perspective of further development of aircraft diesel engines

Abstract

This Bachelor’s Thesis summarizes the history of aircraft diesel engines and then looks into today’s view of these engines in aviation, with particular interest in Continental engines. The last part contains perspectives of further development of aircraft diesel engines and mentions synthetic fuels as well.
