Churg-Strauss syndrome

Eosinofili sebeplerinden biri olan Churg-Strauss sendromu (CSS), orta çaplı arter ve venleri tutan bir vaskülit tipidir. Diğer vaskülitlerden, atopik öykü varlığı, allerjik rinit, sinüzit, nazal polip ve astma gibi bulguları da içerebilmesi nedeniyle ayrılır. Erkeklerde biraz daha fazla görülen bu hastalık steroid tedavisinden genellikle fayda görür. Oldukça nadir görülmesi ve renkli bulguları sergilemesi nedeniyle hastanemizde tanı almış olan bir CSS vakasını sunmak istedik.

Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS), one of the cause for blood eosinophilia, is a type of vasculitis which involves the medium size arteries and veins. It is distinguished from other vasculitis by allergic disease history and clinical findings of allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, nasal poliposis and asthma. Steroid treatment is mostly effective in CSS which is more common in male population. We present a CSS case for its rare occurrence and colorful clinical picture
