Relevamiento de endoparásitos en especies protegidas en la Estación de Fauna Autóctona de la Provincia de Salta : Estudio coproparasitológico

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue el de aportar datos nuevos sobre endoparásitos de mamíferos silvestres mantenidos en cautiverio en instalaciones de la Estación de Fauna Autóctona de la provincia de Salta (Argentina). Se tomaron muestras de materia fecal que fueron analizadas por el método de flotación con solución de Sheather (glucosada). Los resultados del análisis demostraron que algunos animales daban positivos a por lo menos un agente endoparasitario distribuyéndose en Coccidios (Isospora felis) y Nematodes (Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris serrata) y resultando el resto negativos, probablemente debido a que las muestras no fueron representativas en cantidad y calidad. Al observarse diferentes estructuras endoparasitarias de posible origen doméstico y de posible origen antropozoonótico y el desconocimiento del perfil epidemiológico en ecosistemas, conlleva elevados riesgos epidemiológicos para realizar actividades de manejo directo de fauna, por lo que se sugiere obtener mayor información endoparasitaria en mamíferos silvestres en cautiverio. Se recomienda mejorar la sanidad y manejo en los animales silvestres.
