Abstract

El gran crecimiento del parque automotor a nivel mundial, y como consecuencia de ello la acumulación de neumáticos en desuso, exige encontrar la manera de disponer estos residuos en forma ecológica y sustentable. Se trata de una problemática que afecta directamente al sistema de disposición final de residuos urbanos y constituye uno de los desafíos más difíciles de solucionar para los gobiernos, debido a la generación de gases y a la acumulación de líquidos con sus consecuentes criaderos de plagas y daño al medio ambiente. Por la difícil auto-degradación de los neumáticos, 600 años aproximadamente y, en algunos casos, irresponsable y dañina disposición final, ya sea por incineraciones o eliminación en lugares no adecuados, es necesario estudiar alternativas para el procesamiento de estos residuos. Los objetivos de este proyecto apuntan a exponer la factibilidad comercial, y a la vez, el aprovechamiento productivo de estos desechos, repasando las opciones de tratamiento de los mismos, pero estudiando particularmente la instalación y factibilidad técnica-operativa y económica de una planta de reciclado de neumáticos por pirólisis, de manera que se transformen en un recupero provechoso para la sociedad y una alternativa replicable en otros sitios. A partir de los estudios realizados en esta investigación, se emitirá un informe final evaluando la conveniencia y oportunidad de la aplicación de este proyecto. The growth of the automotive park today worldwide, and as a result the accumulation of tires abandoned, demands to find a way to dispose waste in an environmentally friendly manner. It’s a problem that directly affects the system of disposal of urban waste and is one of the most difficult challenges of solving for Governments, due to the generation of gases and the accumulation of liquids with its consequential breeding of pests and damage to the environment. By the tires self-abasement, 600 years approximately and, in some cases, irresponsible and harmful disposal, either by incineration or disposal in unsuitable places, it is possible to study alternatives for processing these waste. The objectives of this project are running to expose the commercial feasibility, and at the same time, the productive use of these wastes, reviewing treatment options, but studying particular installation and feasibility operative and economical recycling of tires trough pyrolysis plant, so they transform into a recovery helpful for society and a replicable alternative in other sites. From the studies conducted in this investigation, will be issued a final report evaluating the convenience and opportunity of the implementation of this project.
