Abstract

Jurnal merupakan salah satu wadah ilmiah untuk mengakomodir penulisan ilmiah dari masyarakat yang berbasis pengetahuan. Universitas Bina Darma (UBD) mempunyai suatu unit untuk mengelola jurnal ilmiah, yang dinamakan Jurnal Ilmiah Terpadu (JIT). Pengelolaan JIT UBD selama ini belum terintegrasi dalam sebuah perangkat lunak. Pengelolaan JIT mulai dari pengiriman artikel oleh Penulis (sesuai format penulisan) sampai artikel disunting oleh Penyunting (editor) dan Mitra Bestari (layak dan tidak diterbitkan). Selain itu juga belum dilakukan promosi secara online, mengingat syarat akreditasi yang dikeluarkan oleh peraturan dari Direktorat Penelitian dan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (DP2M) yang mensyaratkan 60% dari pihak eksternal. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, maka Penulis berniat untuk menganalisis dan merancang Web tersebut menggunakan metode berorientasi objek dengan alat bantu perancangan menggunakan UML (Unified Modelling Language).
