Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı yapılan bilimsel araştırmalardan hareketle konuşma kaysının nedenlerinin ve bu kaygının giderilmesinde işe koşulabilecek uygulamaların genel olarak ortaya konmasıdır. Bu amaçla verilerin elde edilmesinde nitel araştırma yaklaşımı çerçevesinde doküman incelemesi yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda konuşma kaygısı nedenlerinin ve azaltılması için başvurulabilecek uygulamaların gerek anadilde gerekse yabancı dilde benzer olduğu görülmüştür. İncelenen bilimsel metinlerden hareketle araştırmada ulaşılan sonuçlar şöyle sıralanabilir: Genel olarak konuşma kaygısı olumsuz eğitim öğretim ortamları, not verme ve korkutma amacıyla yapılan ölçme ve değerlendirme uygulamaları, olumsuz tutum ve düşünceler, dil bilgi ve becerisi eksikliği gibi farklı nedenlerden kaynaklanmaktadır. Konuşma kaygısının giderilmesinde dil pratiğine dayalı öğrenciyi aktif kılan rol oynama, tiyatro, hazırlıklı konuşma, hazırlıksız konuşma, akademik çelişki gibi yöntem ve teknikler kullanılabilir. Ayrıca mikro öğretim, doğrudan öğretim gibi rehberliğe önem veren modellere başvurulabilir. Bunların dışında konuşma kaygısının azaltılmasında olumlu ve yapıcı geribildirimler de etkili olabilmektedir. The aim of this study is to determine the causes of speech anxiety and applications to reduce this anxiety based on scientific research. For this purpose, document analysis was conducted within the framework of qualitative research approach to obtain the data. As a result of the study, it was seen that the reasons of speech anxiety and the applications that can be applied in reducing this anxiety were similar in mother tongue and foreign language. Based on the studies examined, the following conclusions can be reached in this research: Generally speaking anxiety is caused by different reasons such as negative educational environments, measurement and evaluation practices for grading and scare, negative attitudes and thoughts, and lack of language knowledge and skills. Methods and techniques such as role playing, theater, prepared speech, unprepared speech, academic contradiction that can make the student active based on language practice can be used in the elimination of speech anxiety. In addition, such as micro-teaching, direct teaching models that rely on guidance can be applied. In addition, positive and constructive feedback can also be effective in reducing speech anxiety.
