Filmų dubliavimui skirtas vertimas orientuojamas į galutinį produktą. Kadangi verbalusis tekstas funkcionuoja filmo sistemoje, kurioje jis yra ribojamas laiko ir lūpų sinchronijos, todėl stambaus plano kadrų vertimas privalo remtis vizualine fonetika. Laikantis bendrųjų nuostatų, lūpų padėties skirtumai yra ryškiausi tariant lūpinius priebalsius bei atviruosius ir lūpinius balsius. Šiame tyrime apsiribojama lyginamąja anglų ir lietuvių kalbų lūpinių priebalsių bei po jų einančių balsių (uždarųjų, atvirųjų, lūpinių) analize. Pateikiamos rekomendacijos angliško audiovizualinio teksto dubliavimui lietuvių kalba iš vizualinės lūpinių priebalsių skiemens inicialėje ir centrinių skiemens balsių tarties perspektyvos. In translation for dubbing the function of the product prevails, the verbal text functions in the film system where it is constrained by time limits and lip synchrony. The visual constraints, however, are observed only in close-up shots. In terms of visual phonetics, the lip shape of the speaker is well-marked while pronouncing bilabial consonants and open and rounded vowels. The present research limits itself to the comparative analysis of the inventory of English and Lithuanian bilabial consonants, as well as a bilabial following vowel, whether it is close, open or rounded. Recommendations of translation for dubbing from English into Lithuanian in terms of visually parallel bilabials in the onset of the syllable and the vowel in the centre of the syllable are provided.
