Abstract

Every single day, human beings, with no exceptions, have multiple personal inner battles with themselves. These personal battles, referred to the effort that they put to achieve their goals. Some of these goals are realized, many others fail, some of them are abandoned and others are simply forgotten. In this thesis, initially through a literature review, a broad survey was conducted around a range of topics dealing with selfimprovement / goals / motivation / inspiration / behavior change etc. Therefore, in view of the fact that a key cause which leads people to fail to achieve their goals is lack of understanding of the goal setting process and lack of commitment to the goal. Combined with the fact that the human brain, in order to perceive data wants to see and visualize information, (since for the interpretation and processing of information the brain function deals 30% through vision ). Wanting to give a tool to help people who want to improve themselves and progress, achieving their goals. The JEARNY app was created. Which has as its main objective the recording-optimization of goals. The methodology that was followed was action research, with three cycles that aimed, each in its own different way, to make the application as good as possible. Finally, through the interaction of the users with the application and at the end of the research, significant encouraging conclusions were drawn about the help that such an application can offer.
