Our exchange project associated Lyautey secondary school in Contrexéville (France) as coordinator and Petra Preradović secondary school in Zadar (Croatia) as partner. Our two schools have established contacts since October 2016, carried out some common activities, and programmed the arrival of Croatian students in Contrexéville in April 2018. In September 2018, we agreed to be part of an Erasmus + program in order to benefit from a recognized framework at the European level. The aim of our project was to arouse the students' interest for another European country, based upon the common points and differences of our living environment : Zadar, an urban and maritime city, and Contrexéville, a rural city close to mountains. By involving a large number of participants (including students who have special needs), we also wished to use digital tools and methods and of course develop interdisciplinarity. Over the two-year partnership, the students who were involved in the project were part of the 4th and 3rd grades (France), but more occasionnaly, we endeavoured to involve the students of all grades from both schools. 23 students in Contrexéville and 20 students in Zadar took part in the mobilities/exchange. Our various activities were partly carried out in French because the Croatian school wished to develop the teaching of this language. However, English quickly became the main language used for communication because it was more understood by all the students. To reach our goals, many subjects were associated: literature, English, science, history, geography, Citizenship, musical education and arts. Over the two years, the students worked on common topics, then their work was posted on the Twinspace platform. In history for example, the Croatian students worked on the impact of the Revolution and the Empire in Dalmatia, and the French students worked on the most important revolutionary events (the Bastille Day for example) : thus, the work was used by the collaborating schools as a corpus of documents, in order to work on the topic in class. During the meetings in May 2019 in Contrexéville and in September 2019 in Zadar, the activities were linked to the work done before and after: a visit to the Croatian national parks and the Hautes-Vosges mountains, a presentation of the exhibitions on the traces of Romanity, the discovery of a common place of citizenship, the European Parliament in Strasbourg and so on. Beyond the cultural enrichment, we endeavoured to develop the use of digital tools for all our students, particularly with the creation of slideshows and videos. We especially hope that this project developped their European identity and that they will have more opportunities to study or work in a foreign country one day. After the Erasmus + project, both schools aim to make the exchange permanent. An application for a pairing is in progress. For example, we would like to develop other educational activities that were not discussed during the partnership. Furthermore, we would like to continue this kind of meetings in order to establish a long-term contact between both schools.

"The project ""Challenge 21st Century Competences"" lasted three years (from 2016 to 2019). The school coordinator was Primary school Bistrica ob Sotli from Slovenia. First primary school Varaždin from Croatia participated in the project as a partner school. Within this three-year project teams of teachers have developed their ICT competences and became familiar with the theory and practice of using ICT in education. The main objective of this project was to enable as many teachers as possible for quality integration of ICT into lessons to become competent teachers of 21st century. Our target group were Slovenian and Croatian teachers.Teachers who actively participated in the project further motivated all interested teachers and taught them about the use of new technologies in working with students. The results of the project were presented at CARNet and MIPRO conferences. Practical presentations in the form of workshops were carried out for neighbouring schools. All of these activities can be found on the project website http://slo-erasmus-osbos.splet.arnes.si/, as well as on the eTwinning platform, which allows all interested teachers to view materials, photos and examples of good practice. The project has also attracted a lot of media interest, so we think it is well known in both countries. The indirect participants in this project were also students, who have been using new technologies for their work. Following the evaluation, it has emerged that modern technology contributes greatly to the quality of educational work. During the implementation of the project activities, students showed greater interest in ICT-supported lessons and were more motivated to learn. In order to make it easier for all teachers to use ICT and to benefit from the results of this project at each school in the long term, we have prepared a manual in Slovenian and Croatian, which contains all three training modules with very detailed instructions. This guide was also published by Profil Klett for Croatia and Rokus Klett for Slovenia because they recognized its potential. The mentioned manuals and the results of all project activities were presented at the final international conference in Varaždin, which was attended by school principals, teachers and representatives of local authorities in addition to project groups. The project coordinator monitored all team members, recording each activity in their work with students and making sure that the documentation, requested by CMEPIUS, was kept. Communication and collaboration with partners were smooth and new friendships developed among teachers, parents and students. As a result of this project, our school was highlighted at the CMEPIUS consultation in Laško in September 2019 as a positive example of good practice where teachers themselves are trying to achieve changes in education, which is just another indicator of successful implementation of this project."

Skype contacts between pupils at the Antelopenskolan in Klippan, Sweden and OS Ive Andrica, Zagreb, Croatia, prompted teachers from both schools to start discussions on school development issues. We have concluded that we need to change teaching to create opportunities for students to develop skills that the future labor market will claim. We have defined the following objectives:-to build up new strategies focusing on ICT and collaboration with colleagues in Croatia and to learn through cooperation and exchange of ideas and proven practice- to increase teachers` confidence and creativity in the using of ICT in teaching-to expand the collaboration between two schools in the EU, by increasing knowledge and understanding about cultural, historical and linguistical differences between pupils in northern and southern Europe. - to give the pupils the opportunity to learn ICT and to connect with children abroad, learn about other countries and widen their views by using those tools. The project was planned and implemented by two schools: Antelopenskolana, Klippan, Sweden and OS Ive Andrica, Zagreb; Croatia.Antilopenskolan is located in the centre of Klippan and it reflects the Klippan municipality's socio- economic structure. It`s a small school with about 200 pupils aged from 6 to 12. More than 70 per cent of the pupils are bilingual. The staff in Antilopenskolan have a lot of experience in working with refugees and children with different cultural backgrounds. The school is centrally located in Klippan which means that a lot of pupils live in difficult social circumstances. The educational work is characterized by an intercultural approach and language development as the basis of the pupils' knowledge. The pupils' socio-economic situation entails that the schools compensatory role is extremely important. It`s also important to motivate students to pursue further studies and secure a future with a good education. Ivo Andrić elementary school is situated in New Zagreb. There are about 500 pupils aged 7-15. There are some pupils with special needs, too. During 2011/2012 Ivo Andric school participated (among 22 other schools from all over the world) in an international project ' Interactive exercising' which combines modern technologies with exercising. A skype contact was established with Antilopenskolan which pupils use to communicate with their skype friends about different topics. From 2013-2015 OS Ive Andrica was participating in Comenius project 'Healthy Life Project' together with 8 other countries. Ivo Andric school was chosen to be an experimental school in which Science subjects will be taught usig ICT in teaching ( e-books) starting September 2016.Our common aim and reason why we wanted to participate in On the Road project is to modernize teaching technologies using ICT and to improve teachers' knowledge of it.The evaluation of the project has shown that we made three changes to the time tables:-after the conversation with the partner school, we have moved students' visit to Sweden / Croatia until March 2017 and March 2018. The change was made because students in Sweden write several national tests in May -we have made changes to the timetable regarding transnational project meetings as well. The first meeting was planned to be held in the Klippan. But we decided to start the project in Zagreb. The meeting took place in early October 2016.-The second transnational project meeting we moved to 25 and 26 June 2018. The meeting has been moved to facilitate evaluation of project and report writingAll other activities were carried out according to the project description.-We have enjoyed two successful learning, teaching training events. Ten teachers from each school have been able to find out about the country's school system, have participated in the teaching and exchanged experience and knowledge in the work on ICT. In addition, there have been interesting discussions about similarities and differences in educational processes and educational documentation.-Four pupils and two teachers from partner schools have made a turn-by-turn visit. Pupils have got insight into each other's school day and discovered similarities and differences in school, language and culture. New friendships were built.-In addition, the pupils have had regular Skype contacts - a total of 16 times. -Steering groups have had 4 video conferences in order to evaluate and plan activities and follow up the budget-All planned activities at the local level have also been carried out according to our joint plan-The biggest change has occurred in the teacher`s group. Due to the fact that the process management was well planned and implemented, the teachers gained new knowledge about ICT and started the change process in everyday teaching.-We have evaluated the changes quantitatively through a questionnaire but also qualitatively .

<< Objectives >>Nowadays nature of learning evokes strong interest as well as creation of environments for successful learning. To achieve it a sovereign and competent teacher is needed. In other words we have to qualify teachers to create or use such environments that they will be able to recognize a potential place in natural environment and implement lessons with pupils in a friendly way. Implementation of lessons outside classrooms has to be supported by reasonable use of ICT.<< Implementation >>Common training activities will be used in order to test our trainings for teachers, whereas focus will be on exchange of good practice among Slovenian and Croatian teachers. Our plan is that each school makes exchanges of 7 teachers and 6 pupils within 2 years. Furthermore, we are planning mobility from the perspective of implementation learning in nature with applications and short-term common events to train staff. We are planning to attend classes, plan and test teachers' trainings.<< Results >>Taking part in the project will give benefits to all participants: kindergarten children, pupils of various age groups in both schools (Slovenia and Croatia), professional staff, local community, coincidental tourists and wide professional public. In the project planned three modules of practical training (learning in nature trainings) will be carried out for all our teachers as support for those who assimilate and develop basic skills and key competences.
