    Rubbish is one of the biggest environmental problems in Indonesia. The rubbish is not only from households but also from the school environment. If left unchecked, it can cause various diseases that endanger human life. The amount of rubbish is caused by the ignorance of the community towards the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to have eco-literacy that must be inculcated since primary school age. Students who already have an attitude of concern for the environment will try to maintain a sustainable life. Eco-literacy is also needed to process the rubbish into an instructional media that will help the student to understand learning more easily. This study uses literature study methods from several journal articles, books, and other relevant sources. The result of the study shows that learning by instructional media from the rubbish recycling are more concerned about the surrounding environment and easier to understand the learning process in the classroom. Sampah merupakan salah satu masalah lingkungan yang sangat besar di Indonesia. Sampah bukan hanya berasal dari rumah tangga tetapi juga dari lingkungan sekolah. Jika sampah ini dibiarkan, maka hal itu dapat menyebabkan penyakit. Banyaknya sampah ini juga disebabkan oleh ketidakpedulian masyarakat terhadap lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, eco-literacy harus ditanamkan sejak usia sekolah dasar. Siswa yang sudah memiliki sikap kepedulian terhadap lingkungan, mereka akan berusaha untuk menjaga kehidupan berkelanjutan. Eco-literacy ini juga diperlukan agar siswa mampu mengolah sampah menjadi media pembelajaran sekaligus menjadi modal bagi siswa untuk memahami pembelajaran dengan lebih mudah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dari beberapa artikel jurnal, buku, maupun sumber lain yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media daur ulang sampah mengakibatkan siswa lebih peduli terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya dan lebih mudah memahami proses pembelajaran di kelas.

    Ridauddin b. Fahruddin : A Tatar Scholar of The Hadith. Ridauddin b.Fahruddin, a famous Islamic Tatar scholar, was born in 1859 in Almad-Tataristan. After completinghis education he used to work in different duties like al-imam and al-mudarris (teacher) al-qadiand al-mufti in Orenburg and Ufa-Russia. He wrote more than 50 books and 410 articles and he left40 volumes manuscripts. When he died in 12 April 1936 in Ufa, he had left a lot of valuable works.Furthermore he was the publisher of the journal of al-Shurah.Because of his huge contribution to Islamic sciences two Ph.D. theses were prepared and publishedabout him in Turkey; but none of them dealt with his contribution to The Hadith. He wrote onalmost every aspect of Hadith. Because of this lack we wanted to make clear his views about TheSunna and The Hadith depending on his two important works on the hadith. One of this works isThe Six Books and Their Authors (Kutub-i Sitte Ve Muellifleri), and the other is the Commentary ofJawamiu’l-Kalim (Cevâmiu’l-Kelim Serhi). We found out that his works also made importantcontributions to The Hadith and its history, although his works give us very important informationon The Hadith and The Sunnah in Tataristan at his ages

    Objectives: To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of cervical cancer cases reported at a tertiary care teaching hospital in western Saudi Arabia. Methods: A retrospective chart review was conducted on medical records of patients diagnosed with cervical cancer at King Abdulaziz Medical City, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Data were collected on demographic characteristics, histological types and stage, treatment modalities, and disease outcomes. Results: Cervical cancer was diagnosed among 89 patients from 2002 to 2018. History of pap smear was reported among 31 cases (34.8%). Squamous cell carcinoma was the most common reported histopathological subtype. Almost one third (29.2%) of the patients were at stage III or IV at the time of diagnosis. The most frequent treatment regimen was combined radio/chemotherapy. Kaplan-Meier analysis showed an overall survival rate of 81.5%. Conclusion: The lack of an effective screening program for cervical cancer increases the likelihood of a late diagnosis and higher rates of complications and mortality. Public health programs should focus on cancer screening, screening, and reporting HPV infections, and supporting HPV vaccination activities.

    Authors: MUHACIR, Esra;

    Foundations, which have been established for centuries, were an important factor in the development of the city and culture in Üsküdar. Mosques, masjids, madrasahs, dervish lodges and soup kitchens built through foundations provided the physical and economic development of the city, thus, these structures brought about an increase in population. Especially kulliye-type structures have made a great contribution to the economic, social and cultural development of cities. Madrasas in kulliyes responded to the educational needs of the city and created an educated class. In the history of Üsküdar education, madrasas were the most important tools of cultural and intellectual development. In this context, the formation of the madrasah tradition in Üsküdar began with the establishment of the Rum Mehmed Pasha Madrasa as the first madrasah. Later it continued with Abdullah Ağa and Mihrimah Sultan Madrasahs. Mihrimah Sultan Madrasa in Üsküdar has a significant place in the history of culture and education, as an institution that employed a significant number of mudarris for the history of Üsküdar from the middle of the 16th century to the 18th century. In this process, the mudarrises who lectured in the madrasah were examined based on the Şakayık-ı Numaniye and its annexes. The biographies of mudarrises, which were not included in the literature before, were determined through the Ruznamçe records and added to the literature. We can determine through the various sources, the first mudarris appointment begins in 1547, after the completion of the kulliye, and continues to 1732. In this study, the biographies of 185 mudarris who lectured in Mihrimah Sultan Madrasa from the 16th century to the middle of the 18th century were examined, and their career steps that developed as mudarris, mufti, kadi, cadilesker and sheikh al-Islam were evaluated. Üsküdar’da şehir ve kültürün gelişiminde, yüzyıllar boyunca kurulan vakıflar önemli bir faktördü. Vakıflar aracılığıyla yaptırılan cami, mescid, medrese, tekke ve imaretler şehrin fiziksel ve ekonomik gelişimini sağlıyor bu da nüfus artışını beraberinde getiriyordu. Külliye yapıları içerisinde eğitime tahsis edilmiş olan medreseler şehrin eğitim ihtiyacına cevap veriyor ve eğitimli bir kitlenin oluşmasını sağlıyordu. Üsküdar eğitim tarihinde de medreseler kültürel ve entelektüel gelişimin en önemli araçlarıydı. Bu bağlamda Üsküdar’da medrese geleneğinin teşekkülü ilk medrese olan Rum Mehmed Paşa Medresesi’nin kurulmasıyla başlamış ve daha sonra da Abdullah Ağa ve Mihrimah Sultan Medreseleri ile devam etmiştir. Üsküdar’da Mihrimah Sultan Medresesi, kurulduğu 16. Yüzyılın ortalarından 18. yüzyıla kadar Üsküdar tarihi için oldukça önemli sayıda müderris istihdam etmiş bir müessese olarak kültür ve eğitim tarihinde çok önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu süreç içerisinde medresede görev yaptığı tespit edilen müderrisler Şakayık-ı Numaniye ve zeyllerinden hareketle incelenmiş ve literatürde daha önce yer almayan müderris biyografileri ise Ruznamçe kayıtları üzerinden tespit edilerek literatüre kazandırılmıştır. İlk müderris ataması külliyenin tamamlanmasıyla 1547 yılından itibaren başlamakta ve 1732 yılına kadar devam etmektedir. Tespit edilen 185 müderrisin biyografileri müderrislik, müftülük, kadılık, kazaskerlik ve şeyhülislamlık şeklinde gelişen kariyer basamakları açısından değerlendirilmiştir.

    Authors: SCHARBRODT, OLIVER;

    AbstractDivine sovereignty (ḥākimiyya)—as conceived by Abū al-A‘lā Mawdūdī (1903–79) and popularised by Sayyid Quṭb (1906–66) - has been a central component of Islamist thought. This article investigates the reception of the concept within Shi‘i Islam. As case studies, the article choses two prominent actors in the formative period of Shi‘i Islamism in Iraq: Muḥammad Bāqir al-Ṣadr (1935–80) and Muḥammad Taqī al-Mudarrisī (b. 1945). By discussing their reflections on the nature of an Islamic state, the article pursues three objectives: first, it overcomes a trend in academic scholarship that disregards Sunni influences on the development of Shi‘i Islamism. Second, the article highlights the role that the Iraqi Shi‘i intellectual milieu played in incorporating key Islamist concepts into Shi‘i political thought. Finally, the article demonstrates the different receptions of ḥākimiyya. Bāqir al-Ṣadr uses the ideological repertoire of Islamism to explore in pragmatic terms the parameters that define the state as Islamically legitimate. In contrast, Taqī al-Mudarrisī uses ḥākimiyya to redefine the sovereignty of the state in Islamic terms. He operationalises the concept in a Shi‘i context by arguing that the state must be led by a just jurisconsult (al-faqīh al-‘ādil) who becomes the sole agent of divine sovereignty in the state.

    This work examines the shaping of Ottoman intellectual life between 1302 and 1362 as part of the common cultural heritage of Turkistan, Iran, and Anatolia. The relevant Damascus-Cairo and Byzantine aspects are also considered. It will detail how the components of this heritage were transmitted to the Ottoman realm and investigate both the channels used and the institutions involved during the reigns of ʿOsman and Orhān Gāzī as well as the role of Dāwūd Kaysarī, who was considered to be the first Ottoman mudarris. The period’s political, intellectual, and ideological approaches will also be taken into account, and a brief context evaluation will be conducted on the al-Itḥāfu’s-Sulaymānī fi’l-ʿahdi’l-Ūrkhānī attributed to Kaysarī and presented to Sulayman Pasha. This scholarly work is identified as the first one to be compiled in the Ottoman realm. Its editio princeps will be appended to the article.

    Sun'ullah Efendi 960/1553 yılında İstanbulda doğmuştur. Babası Kanuni Sultan Süleyman dönemi kazaskerlerinden İskilipli Molla Cafer Çelebi'dir. Müderrislik ve kadılık yapan Sun'ullah Efendi 1008/1599 senesinde şeyhülislamlığa başlamıştır. Görevinin ilk iki dönemi III. Mehmed, üçüncü ve dördüncü dönemi ise I. Ahmed devrine denk gelmektedir. Çeşitli sebeplerle dört defa azledilerek tekraren göreve getirilmesiyle tarihe geçmiştir. Dördüncü ve son azlinden sonra inzivaya çekilmiş ve 1020/1611 yılında hacca gitmiştir. Hacc dönüşünden kısa bir süre sonra 1021/1612 senesinde İstanbul'da vefat etmiştir. Eserimiz Fetâvâ-yı Sun'ullah Efendi de 16. yüzyıla ait bir fetva mecmuasıdır. Mecmuada Sun'ullah Efendi'ye arz edilen ve onun tarafından cevaplanan fetvalar derlenmiştir. Eserin farklı yerlerde nüshaları mevcuttur ancak bizim esas aldığımız nüsha Süleymaniye Kütüphanesi'nde bulunan nüshadır.Eser içerisindeki fetvalar konusuna göre farklı bablara ayrılmıştır. Babların sistematiği klasik fıkıh sistematiğine uygundur. Kitabu't-tahâre ile başlayıp Kitabu'l-vesâyâ ile son bulmaktadır.Sun'ullah Efendi sorulara genellikle kısa cevaplar vermiştir. Eserdeki cevapların büyük bir kısmını tek kelimelik cevaplar oluşturmaktadır. Gerekli gördüğü yerlerde ise bazen uzun bazen kısa açıklamalar yapmıştır. Eserde nakil yoktur ancak Sun'ullah Efendi'nin nadiren de olsa alim veya mezhep imamlarına atıfta bulunduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Eserde Sun'ullah Efendi genel olarak net cevaplar vermiştir. Farklı görüşlere atıfla fetva verdiğinde ise genellikle tercihini belli eden ibareler kullanmıştır. Tercihte bulunmadığında ise meseleyi bazen hakimin bazen de sultanın takdirine bırakmıştır.Mecmuamızda Sun'ullah Efendi'ye ait 1017 fetva bulunmaktadır. Toplamda 79 varaktan oluşan eserimizde Sun'ullah Efendi'nin fetvaları 76. varakta son bulmaktadır. Diğer varaklarda ise mârûzât bölümü mevcuttur. Sun'ullah Efendi was born in 960/1553 in Istanbul. His father was Molla Cafer Çelebi of Iskilip who was one of the kazasker during the reign of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman. Sun'ullah Efendi, who was a mudarris and kadi, began to work as Shaykh al-Islam in 1008/1599. The first two periods of his service corresponded to Mehmed III era, and the third and fourth periods corresponded to Ahmed I era. He went down in history by being dismissed and recommissioned because of several reasons for four time. After his fourth and last dismissal he retired into seclusion and went on pilgrimage in 1020/1611. He died after a little while he returned from his pilgrimage in Istanbul in 1021/1612. And the piece Fetâvâ-yı Sun'ullah Efendi is a fetwa journal which is from the 16th century. The fetwas which were submitted to Sun'ullah Efendi and answered by him are compiled in the journal. There are several copies of the piece in different places, but the copy we based our work on is the one in the Süleymaniye Library. Fetwas in the journal are divided into different babs according to their subjects. Systematics of the babs match with the classical fiqh systematics. It starts with Kitabu't-tahâre and ends with Kitabu'l-vesâyâ.Sun'ullah Efendi usually gave short answers to the questions. A great majority of the answers in the piece are consisted of one-word answers. He made both brief and long explanations whenever he deemed it necessary. There are no quotations in the piece, however it can be said that, even though it's seldom, Sun'ullah Efendi cited some scholars and madhhab imams, too. Sun'ullah Efendi generally gave straight answers in the piece. He usually used expressions which indicated his preference, when he gave a fetwa with a reference for different opinions. And at the times when he didn't make any preferences, he left the issue to the judge's or the sultan's discretion. In the journal there are 1017 fetwas which belong to Sun'ullah Efendi. In the piece, which is consisted of 82 foils, the fetwas of Sun'ullah Efendi end in the 78th foil. And there is the submission section in the remaining foils. 253

    The religious, moral, social and cultural values of the Ottoman Empire are based on Sunni belief, Hanafi fiqh, and the morality of Sufi. Since the establishment of the empire, the scholars of the Ottoman have also been engaged in developing and spreading this tradition and writing books. The Iznik Madrasa established by Orhan Gazi, and in particular, Dâvûd-i Kayserî, Alâeddin Esved, Kutbüddîn-i İznikî, Molla Hüsrev, who was designated for this madrasa, and Molla Fanârî, the student of Kara Hoca (Alâeddîn Esved), who was educated in this madrasa, played a significant role in establishing this idea. Molla Fanari produced works in almost every branch of science due to his important duties such as professorship (mudarris), qadi and sheikh al-Islam in the Ottoman Empire, as well as being a top name in the sciences of rational (aqlî) and revealed (naqlî). He synthesised the narrative and rational knowledge by synthesizing it on a wise level in metaphysical contemplation. In this article, Molla Fanarî and his study Fusûl al-badâyiʿ fî usûl al-sharâyiʿ will be analysed methodologically. Consequently, it will be possible to observe the historical progress of the first-period Ottoman fiqh method thought. Osmanlı Devleti’ni oluşturan dinî, ahlakî, sosyal ve kültürel değerler önemli ölçüde Sünnî itikad, Hanefî fıkhına ve tasavvufî ahlaka dayanır. Osmanlı sultanlarının da desteklediği bu düşünceyi temsil eden ulemâ, devletin kuruluşundan itibaren Sünnî, Hanefî, tasavvufî geleneği geliştirmek ve yaymak için faaliyette bulunmuş ve kitaplar yazmışlardır. Orhan Gazi’nin kurduğu İznik Medresesi ve bu medreseye tayin edilen başta Dâvûd-i Kayserî olmak üzere Alâeddîn Esved, Kutbüddîn-i İznikî, Molla Hüsrev, Zenbilli Ali Cemâlî ve bu medresede tahsil görmüş Kara Hoca’nın (Alâeddîn Esved) öğrencisi Molla Fenârî bu düşünceyi yerleştirmede önemli rol oynamışlardır. Molla Fenârî Osmanlı Devleti’nde müderrislik, kadılık ve şeyhülislâmlık gibi önemli görevleri îfâ etmenin yanında aklî ve naklî ilimlerde zirve bir şahsiyet olması sebebiyle hemen her ilim dalında eserler vermiştir. O, beyânî, burhânî ve irfanî bilgiyi sentezleyerek meşru bir zeminde buluşturan bir ilim adamıdır. Bu makalede Molla Fenârî ve onun Fusûlü’l-Bedâyiʿ fî Usûli’ş-Şerâyiʿ adlı Hanefî fıkıh usulü eseri metodolojik açıdan ele alınacaktır. Böylece Osmanlı’nın ilk dönem fıkıh usulü düşüncesinin tarihî seyrini gözlemleme imkânı doğacaktır. تستند القيم الدينية والاجتماعية والأخلاقية والثقافية للدولة العثمانية على العقيدة السنية والفقه الحنفي والأخلاق الصوفية. العلماء الذين يمثلون هذه الفكرة، والتي أيدها السلاطين العثمانيون، نشطوا في تطوير ونشر التقاليد السنية والحنفية والصوفية ، وكتبوا كتباً منذ تأسيس الدولة. فالمدرسة المُنشأة من قبل أورخان غازي في إزنيق والمدرسون الذين تمَّ تعيينهم في هذه المدرسة من داوود القيصري وعلاء الدين الأسود و قطب الدين الإزنيقي و الملا خسرو و علي جمالي الزنبيلي و الملا فناري طالب علاء الدين الأسود الذي درس في هذه المدرسة قد لعبوا دورًا مهمًا في وضع هذه الفكرة. وإلى جانب ماقام به الملا فناري من أعمال في الدولة العثمانية من كونه قاضيًا وأستاذًا وشيخًا للإسلام كان شخصية بارزة في العلوم العقلية والنقلية فقد كتب رحمه الله كتبًا عدة في كل فروع العلم تقريبًا. إنه عالم يجمع المعرفة العقلية و النقلية في التأمل الميتافيزيقي على أسس مشروعة. وستتناول هذه المقالة الملا فناري وكتابه فصول البدائع في أصول الشرائع من جهة منهجية. وبذلك يكون بالإمكان تتبع التطور التاريخي لأصول الفقه الحنفي في بدايات الدولة العثمانية.

    Authors: SCHARBRODT, OLIVER;

    Authors: İhsan Fazlıoğlu;
