This paper discusses the neglectedness of affective aspect on study evaluation of Islamic Religion Education course (Pendidikan Agama Islam) at higher education institution. It is found that the neglectedness of affective aspect is caused by some critical factors: 1) different perspective among scholars on what aspect of affection that cannot be measured, for example: faith; 2) the learning objective of Islamic Religion Education course is too ideal, that make it difficult to measure; 3) vast majority of Islamic Religion Education lecturer are unable to develop good teaching instruments which cover affective aspect; and 4) the students-lecturers ratio are too wide and far from ideal. To solve this problem, some suggestions are proposed; strengthening the good understanding of affective aspect on Islamic Religion Education among lecturers; and enriching evaluation design and model to reveal affective aspect of students.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah dan menganalisis kelayakan buku Tafsir Tarbawi: Tafsir Tematik Pendidikan Karakter karya Fakhruddin Nursyam sebagai buku referensi alternatif pada mata kuliah Tafsir Tarbawi serta implementasinya dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini mengambil subjek pada mata kuliah Tafsir Tarbawi di Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) Jurusan Tarbiyah Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) Al-Hidayah Bogor pada Tahun Akademik 2023/2024. Hal ini dilakukan untuk memudahkan proses pembelajaran Tafsir Tarbawi dengan menetapkan buku referensi yang ditentukan. Antara lain dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya mahasiswa di STAI Al-Hidayah Bogor yang berlatar belakang pendidikan umum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan buku Tafsir Tarbawi: Tafsir Tematik Pendidikan Karakter layak dan dapat dijadikan buku referensi utama dalam mata kuliah Tafsir Tarbawi. Melalui penelitian ini juga terungkap bahwa implementasi pembelajaran buku Tafsir Tarbawi: Tafsir Tematik Pendidikan Karakter dapat dilakukan melalui langkah-langkah strategis yang terdapat dan diremomendasikan dalam hasil penelitian artikel ini.

The current paper critisizes government’s policy on Islamic religion education implementation, in term of the organizer/ administrator and subject matters. Government Regulation (Peraturan Pemerintah) No 55/2007 explicitly explained about how Islamic religion education and other religions education organized and administered. This paper found that the regulation has several critical points on its implementation, organization, and administration. Therefore, it is urgent for Ministry of Religious Affair and Ministry of Education to make synergic cooperation on implementing Islamic religion education development, whether on its education system, infrastructures, subject materials, and human resource development. If this cooperation appears to be hard to implement, Ministry of Religious Affair better to return its role in managing Islamic education to Ministry of Education. Means, this paper recommends the government to revise the regulation on religions education system.

AbstrakHasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengembangan pendidikan agama Islam telah dilakukan oleh SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Kota Makassar dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didiknya. Pengembangan ini dilakukan melalui: Pertama, pengembangan pendidikan agama Islam dipengaruhi oleh faktor konstruksi pendidikan agama Islam, dan implementasinya. Kedua, konfigurasi karakter peserta didik melalui formula sosiologis, psikologis, dan keterpaduan sistem. Ketiga, kontribusi pengembangan pendidikan agama Islam terhadap peningkatan respon masyarakat, peningkatan prestasi peserta didik, dan peningkatan mutu layanan pendidikan. This paper aims to discuss the role of organization culture of the Association of Nahdlatul Ulama’s Male and Female Students (Ikatan Pelajar Nahdlatul Ulama dan Ikatan Pelajar Putra Putri Nahdlatul Ulama/IPNU-IPPNU) in developing Islamic education in Sleman Regency. It argues that as student organization affiliated to an Islamic organization, IPNU-IPPNU has an important role to play in developing Islamic education among youth and students through their various programs and activities designed in accordance with their basic values and orientation as well as the advance of science and technology. Islam requires his people to be literate and educated people. Expected educated person in today’s global era will be increased, while those who are not educated will be reduced in accordance with present era. Islamic education guides students in their development, both physical and spiritual to form honorable personality and character. And will become moral beings in the future in accordance with the noble values of our nation. Islamic educational purposes according to the Qur’an include (1) describes the position of learners as human beings between God and responsibilities in this life, (2) explaining to do as social beings and responsibilities in order of social life, (3) explain the relationship of man the nature and duty to know the wisdom of creation by way of prosperity of the universe, (4) to explain its relationship with God as the creator of the universe.

Berkembangnya ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di era disrupi sekarang ini menuntut adanya sistem pendidikan yang mampu mengembangkan ilmu sekaligus nilai-nilai yang membangun karakter peserta didik sehingga mereka kelak mempunyai kekuatan dan jiwa yang berkualitas untuk mampu mengendalikan diri dari hal negatif sebagai dampak dari perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Dalam mewujudkan cita-cita menciptakan generasi yang berkarakter mulia, guru memiliki peranan sangat penting, khususnya guru pendidikan agama Islam. Meskipun saat ini guru tidak lagi menjadi menjadi sumber utama informasi dan ilmu pengetahuan, namun guru justru mempunyai peran yang lebih besar terkait dengan penumbuhan dan pengembangan karakter peserta didik. Hal yang dapat dilakukan guru dalam proses pembelajaran adalah menggarap ranah afektif dan motorik siswa yang tidak dapat diperoleh dari internet. Dan peran guru yang paling utama adalah menuntun dan mendasari peserta didik dengan dasar agama dan etika, memberikan wejangan, teladan sekaligus panutan.

Berkembangnya ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di era disrupi sekarang ini menuntut adanya sistem pendidikan yang mampu mengembangkan ilmu sekaligus nilai-nilai yang membangun karakter peserta didik sehingga mereka kelak mempunyai kekuatan dan jiwa yang berkualitas untuk mampu mengendalikan diri dari hal negatif sebagai dampak dari perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Dalam mewujudkan cita-cita menciptakan generasi yang berkarakter mulia, guru memiliki peranan sangat penting, khususnya guru pendidikan agama Islam. Meskipun saat ini guru tidak lagi menjadi menjadi sumber utama informasi dan ilmu pengetahuan, namun guru justru mempunyai peran yang lebih besar terkait dengan penumbuhan dan pengembangan karakter peserta didik. Hal yang dapat dilakukan guru dalam proses pembelajaran adalah menggarap ranah afektif dan motorik siswa yang tidak dapat diperoleh dari internet. Dan peran guru yang paling utama adalah menuntun dan mendasari peserta didik dengan dasar agama dan etika, memberikan wejangan, teladan sekaligus panutan.
