This study aims to review the results of the research by The Office of Religious Research and Development Semarang about The Implementation of Religious Education in Minority Group. The research findings show that although the regulation of religious education services for minority groups has a strong foundation but in its implementation not all schools can serve religious education for minority groups. Based on the study it was found that (1) there were schools that provided all of religious education services according to the students needs;(2) there are schools that only provide one religious education service, and (3) there are also schools that provide a portion of minority religious education services. Judging from the suitability of religious education services with regulations found there are still those that are not in accordance with PMA Number 16 of 2010.

This research was aimed to know the supervision techniques and approach and to compiled the school supervisors and teacher responses to academic supervision given by school supervisors in MIN Pahadut Palangka Raya. This research was applied to a phenomenal qualitative approach. The data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The data were analyzed through three steps, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Checking the authenticity of the data was carried out with credibility and confirmability criteria. This result indicates that the preparation of the academic supervision program was carried out in collaboration between Madrasah supervisors and PAI teachers in public schools coordinated by the supervisor coordinator. The supervision techniques used were the class visitation technique, the supervisor's personal conversation with the teacher, and the meeting between the supervisor, the madrasah principal, and the teachers. Supervision approaches used by school supervisors were scientific approach, artistic approach, and clinical approach. The response of the teachers was very positive towards the implementation of academic supervision by supervisors.

Sexuality is still perceived by many Indonesians as a taboo. For Indonesian Muslims those who are doing haj pilgrimage specifically, sexual desire is thought a forbidden to be discussed. Furthermore, husband and wife sexual intercourse issues are also excluded from the rights of haj participants provided by the state. This research has shown (a) to what extente the preliminary haj (manasik) course discussing the issue of sexual needs during haj pilgrimage, (b) how haj participants think and construct the sexuality during stay at Saudi Arabia, and (c) what particular way they prefer to manage sexual desire during haj pilgrimage. The research has also shown that the husband and wife sexual intercourse during haj pilgrimage time is also one of the importants case that is needed to be fulfilled. In this regard, the haj pilgrimage organizer across any levels should provide a special room for sexual intercourse, especially for those who are still in the sexually productive ages. Currently, for haj participoants who have sexually productive ages denote the differentiate way in managing sexual temptation during their staying at Saudi Arabia’ motels. It is because there is no special room provided by the organizer for husband and wife sexual intercourse.

This paper discusses the fatwa of smoking contained in one of the Kerinci manuscripts written around the end of the 19th century AD. This kind of research is important to do because of the lack of research exploring religious manuscripts in the Kerinci area. This research was conducted using a qualitative research model that focuses on the domain of text and context. This study also uses a codicological approach to determine various aspects of the manuscript, such as material, age, place of writing, and estimates of script writing. In addition, a historical approach is also used to see the Kerinci context at that time. The data collection process was carried out by reviewing the available literature and also conducting an interview process to determine the background of the author, the age of the manuscript and the origin of the manuscript. The results of this study indicate that the manuscript containing the fatwa of smoking or smoking tobacco was written around the end of the 19th century AD. This is consistent with the indications of the calendar contained therein. The manuscript summarizes the prohibition of smoking based on the various arguments found in the Qur'an, Hadith, and the opinions of the scholars. Meanwhile, the motivation for prohibiting smoking contained in the manuscript is more likely to be influenced by religious factors, given the strong and rooted religious doctrine of the Kerinci community at that time compared to political, economic, and so on.

This study presents the transformation of the kiai's leadership in forming regeneration and developing Islamic boarding schools in Al Ummah Islamic Boarding School Sukabumi. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research, which focuses on the leadership portrait of the kiai, the mechanisms and steps for the operationalization of leadership, and the process of changing leadership. Data collection was carried out in 2018 by interviewing kiai, kiai families, students and community leaders. The results showed that the portrait of kiai leadership at Pesantren Al Ummah Sukabumi is oriented towards a democratic leadership style, which is the operationalization mechanism for the transformation of private ownership into institutional property, curriculum development, and infrastructure development. This is based on the replacement of kiai who have died, replaced by kiai families who have a holistic orientation and understanding in developing future pesantren. Recommendations from the results of this study are the importance of developing Islamic boarding schools which are not only oriented towards religious development, but also fostering students to have skills that will become their life provisions in the future.

Prasetyo Manunggal Karso is one of the many beliefs of kejawen in Java. Prasetyo Manunggal Karso is a community that teaches kejawen flow and is located in Sub-District Banyudono, Boyolali Regency. Like Kejawen faith trust in general, Prasetyo Manunggal Karso has some grip itself in his teachings as a means to get closer to the God is the creator of the entire universe. In this paper, seeks to explain the intricacies of the teachings of the beliefs of Kejawen Prasetyo Manunggal Karso, some of them concerning, their background and history, the scriptures used, the principal teachings, the way of worship, the instruments used in rituals, and ways of spreading the teachings. In addition, the researchers also tried to analyze the findings with the perspective of the theory of habitus and cultural reproduction of the sociologist, Pierre Bourdieu. This paper aims to examine the cultural practices of the genus of Kejawen Prasetyo Manunggal Karso, using qualitative descriptive method, with key informant Mr. Toto Soeharto as the founder of the kejawen community of Prasetyo Manunggal Karso in Boyolali. The result show that the presence of Kejawen–Prasetyo Manunggal Karso is a form of wealth of Indonesian characteristic, a portrait of religious diversity, as well as a distinctive style of Javanese spiritual culture as part of the Indonesian national identity.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengelolaan Prodi magister PAI di UIN Imam Bonjol Padang dengan fokus pada Standar Nasional Pendidikan Tinggi (SNPT). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data melalui metode studi dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian adalah pertama, kekuatan Prodi ada pada visi dan misi, dosen doktor dan profesor, biaya murah, dan penjaminan mutu. Kedua, kelemahan Prodi ini adalah fasilitas pembelajaran seperti AC, buku referensi, karya dosen, satu ketua Prodi untuk tiga Prodi, kerjasama dosen lemah, dan tidak ada tindak lanjut evaluasi dosen. Ketiga, peluang perbaikan mutu bisa terjadi karena adanya akreditasi dan pembiayaan penelitian dari Kemenag dan internal kampus. Keempat, tantangan Prodi adalah peningkatan jumlah dan kualitas dosen dan fasilitas pembelajaran. Kelima, dosen bergelar doktor dan/atau berpangkat profesor bukan jaminan produktivitas menulis karya ilmiah. Keenam, kampus negeri bukan jaminan orientasi pada mutu pelayanan, pembelajaran, dan penelitian. 

Gerakan pentakostalisme mengalami perkembangan pesat yang melahirkan beberapa gerakan sektarian, karena sejumlah faktor internal dan eksternal. Artikel ini menggambarkan dan menganalisis perkembangan faham dan gerakan Pentakostalisme-Karismatik. Secara rinci, artikel mencoba memokus pada : (a) bagaimana kesejarahan gerakan pentakostalisme di dunia umumnya dan di Indonesia khususnya, (b) seperti apa gerakan pentakostalisme di Gereja Katolik dan Protestan, (c) apa perbedaan doktrinal gerakan Karismatik di Gereja Katolik dan Protestan, dan (d) Sejauhmana pengaruh Karismatik Katolik dan Protestan di Indonesia. Penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan metoda fenomenologi agama ini, menyimpulkan sejumlah temuan, diantaranya adalah (i) Gerakan Pentakostalisme di Indonesia melahirkan gerakan Karismatik di tubuh Gereja Katolik dan Gereja Protestan, (ii) terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara doktrin Karismatik Katolik dan Protestan, diantaranya dalam dalam hal peribadatan (sistem ritual) dan cara penginjilan, dan (iii) Karismatik Katolik cenderung berkembang di daerah perkotaan, sedang Karismatik Protestan tersebar secara luas, baik di perkotaan maupun perdesaan.
