The contamination of soil by petroleum substances pose a huge environmental problem because of negative impact on the physical and chemical properties and biological activity of soil. Contamination may also accumulate in plants, or together with dust, deposited on green parts of plants. Most of them are carcinogenic substances, so their removal from the environment requires the use of efficient, cheap and safe methods. The usefulness of bioaugmentation by Y. lipolytica A101 with stimulation by H2 O2 for purification of hydrocarbon-contaminated soil was investigated under laboratory conditions. Paralelly, its influence on the dynamics of soil microflora has been tested. The use of combined techniques bioaugmentation and stimulation did not result in a significant reduction of the total content of petroleum compounds in contaminated soil. The tested method was most effective in case of degradation of PAHs; causing almost fourfold content decrease in their concentration (from 204 mg·kg-1 to 54 mg·kg-1). In the case of other hydrocarbons, there was no significant reduction in content. This was probably the result of their desorption from the soil complex. Bioremediation supported by Y. lipolytica A101 in combination with hydrogen peroxide stimulate the development of procaryotic microorganisms.

The pathogen causes dieback of trees, mainly of the Abies (fir) genus. The biology and epidemiology of the fungus are largely unknown. It is believed that the disease spreads by means of ascospores moving with the wind, and conidial spores splashed by raindrops. Transmission of the pathogen via infected seeds is suspected. In Poland, N. neomacrospora poses a real threat to forest crops (fir forests), farms producing nursery stock, Christmas tree plantations and trees planted in parks and gardens. The rock poet treats the plot of the two plays very loosely and it becomes the means through which he enters the area of disturbing perversion and graphic pornography. This strategy, then, is typical for him: drawing on the primal instincts of human sexuality, he penetrates these experiences that – although frequently marginalized – are the foundations of our culture. Consequently, Reed seems to follow Susan Sontag’s diagnosis according to which the goal of pornographic literature is to disorient and to disturb mental balance. In the case of Lulu, this strategy of cultural disorientation is also implemented via the generic form of the record. This form mainly stems from Reed’s decision to cooperate with Metallica, i.e. a band whose conservative and rather sustainable music stands in contrast to the former artist's transgressive arts. In other words, on many levels it demonstrates Reed’s strategies of crossing the borders between what is commonly accepted and what is rejected because of its non-normative quality. It results in multilayered kinkiness that outreaches the literary frames of the project and makes it possible to view Lulu as a piece of art that is both uncompromising and visionary.

Reflections in this field have already been made in literature. But it is worth to analyse again this topic, because there are still a lot of mineral deposits at the Natura 2000 areas, and the growing number of new areas, as well as the existing ones, severely hampers the taking up and pursuit of the geological and mining activity. In the first part of the paper some remarks about the definitions connected with Natura 2000 areas are presented. Later the types of the environmental assessment impact, which may be conducted during the realisation of geological and mining projects are mentioned and discussed. At the end conclusions from this analyse are presented.

The most interesting were: Agabus striolatus, Ilybius montanus, Graphoderus austriacus, G. zonatus, Dytiscus semisulcatus, Nebrioporus canaliculatus, Hydroporus nigrita, and Hydrophilus aterrimus. It was estimated that the fauna of the Pleszew district is probably rich in species and that it is an important area for the protection of water beetles. The fauna of peat bogs and stagnant waters of various kinds is valuable. Systematic surveys of this area are necessary, covering all aquatic habitats. Least is known about the fauna of running waters. Records of water beetles in terrestrial habitats and in atypical aquatic habitats were also discussed.
