A collection of abstracts comprises 20 summaries of papers presented in the International Scientific Conference „Baltic Onyms: From Past to Present” to commemorate the 148th anniversary of the academician Jānis Endzelīns in Riga, February 22. The conference to memorize Jānis Endzelīns has been organized by the Latvian Language Institute of the University of Latvia every year since 1963. In 2021, the conference was devoted to onomastics. The range of research topics in this collection is wide, including papers on anthroponomastics, toponomastics, literary onomastics, ontology of names, and onomastic terminology. Tēžu krājumā apvienotas LU Latviešu valodas institūta rīkotās akadēmiķa Jāņa Endzelīna (1873–1961) 148. dzimšanas dienas atcerei veltītās starptautiskās zinātniskās konferences tēzes, kuras iesnieguši 20 konferences dalībnieki no Latvijas, Lietuvas, Vācijas. Akadēmiķa atceres konferences tiek rīkotas jau kopš 1963. gada. 2021. gada 22. februāra konference tika veltīta onomastikai: “Baltijas onīmi: no sendienām līdz mūsdienām”. Konferences tēžu krājuma tēmu loks ir plašs: no vietvārdu, personvārdu un literārās onomastikas pētījumiem līdz īpašvārdu ontoloģijas un terminoloģijas jautājumiem.

Latvijas Universitātes 77. konferences "Augu daudzveidības pētījumi ex situ" un "Augu selekcijas un introdukcijas" sekcijas sēdes notiek 2019. gada 7. februārī, plkst. 13.00 LU Botāniskajā dārzā Kandavas ielā 2, Rīgā.

Latvijas Universitātes 76. starptautiskās zinātniskā konferences Botāniskā dārza sekciju "Augu daudzveidības pētījumi ex situ" un "Augu selekcija un introdukcija" tēžu krājums. Sekciju sēdes notiek 2018. gada 1. februārī LU Botāniskajā dārzā Rīgā, Kandavas ielā 2.

This volume brings together the abstracts of papers presented at the session “Society in the Territory of Latvia: Contacts and Processes in History” held by the Institute of Latvian History, University of Latvia on 3–4 March 2022 in the frame of the 80th International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia. The abstracts reflect the contribution by historians, archaeologists and ethnologists from the Institute of Latvian History, University of Latvia, National Library of Latvia, Specially Protected Cultural Monument – Turaida Museum Reserve, and the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia to the study of topical issues in history. Archaeological research reveals issues of origin and distribution related to imported ceramics, as well as the results of archaeological research at Turaida Church Hill. The research of the history of Latvian peasants of the 17th–19th century is dedicated to the information found in the materials of the Jesuit archives of Dünaburg, mobility and diversity of economic activities, women's traditional clothing and the possibilities of its reconstruction. The activities of a British merchant resident in Riga and issues of enlightenment and history in the literature have also been assessed. Archival evidence of the families of the recruits and photographs as a source of research on peasants’ clothing have been analyzed. With the help of information published in the press, the reflection of the performance of Africans’ troupe in the 700th anniversary program of Riga, and the Soviet occupation in the regions of Latvia has been investigated. The reports analyze the Nazi actions in the extermination of mentally ill patients, the control methods used by the KGB and the militia, aspects of the political activities of the Latvians in exile and the tools of social memory mobilization in Russia. The reports included in the conference reflect the latest achievements of historians, in which the research of contacts and processes important in the history of Latvia is revealed. Krājumā apkopotas 2021. gada 3. un 4. martā Latvijas Universitātes 80. Starptautiskās zinātniskās konferences ietvaros Latvijas Universitātes Latvijas vēstures institūta organizētās sekcijas “Sabiedrība Latvijas teritorijā: saskarsmes un procesi vēsturē” nolasīto referātu tēzes. Tēzēs atspoguļojas LU Latvijas vēstures institūta, Latvijas Nacionālās bibliotēkas, Turaidas muzejrezervāta un Latvijas Okupācijas muzeja vēsturnieku, arheologu un etnologu ieguldījums aktuālu vēstures jautājumu izpētē. Arheologu pētījumos atklājas ar importēto keramiku saistīti izcelsmes un izplatības jautājumi, kā arī Turaidas Baznīckalna arheoloģiskās izpētes rezultāti. 17.–19. gadsimta latviešu zemnieku vēstures pētniecība veltīta Dinaburgas jezuītu arhīva materiālos atrodamajām ziņām, mobilitātei un ekonomiskās darbības daudzveidībai, sieviešu tradicionālajam apģērbam un tā rekonstrukcijas iespējām. Izvērtēta arī Rīgā rezidējoša britu tirgotāja darbība un apgaismības un vēstures jautājumi literatūrā. Analizētas arhīvu liecības par rekrutēto ģimenēm un fotogrāfijas kā zemnieku apģērba izpētes avots. Ar presē publicētās informācijas palīdzību analizēts Rīgas 700. jubilejas programmā ietvertā afrikāņu uzveduma un padomju okupācijas Latvijas reģionos atspoguļojums. Referātos analizētas nacistu akcijas psihiski slimo pacientu iznīcināšanā, VDK un milicijas izmantotās kontroles metodes, latviešu trimdas politiskās darbības aspekti un sociālās atmiņas mobilizācijas instrumenti Krievijā. Konferencē iekļautie referāti atspoguļo vēsturnieku jaunāko veikumu, kurā atklājas Latvijas vēsturē nozīmīgu saskarsmju un procesu izpēte.

As part of 79th International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia, on the 18th and 19th February 2021, the philosophy doctoral students’ section “Exceptionality and Normality” of the Faculty of History and Philosophy took place. In the section participated masters and PhD students of various programs, as well as lecturers of the Faculty of History and Philosophy, researchers of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the University of Latvia and other academics. The collection contains 23 theses, which summarize the reports read in the organized section of the conference “Exceptionality and Normality”. Theses provide an opportunity to familiarize with the topicality of the subject of the section in the cross-section of the 21st century, as well as how the idea of exceptionality and normality has developed in epistemology, philosophy of consciousness, ethics, social philosophy, and history. Latvijas Universitātes 79. starptautiskās zinātniskās konferences ietvarā 2021. gada 18. un 19. februārī notika Vēstures un Filozofijas fakultātes filozofijas doktorantu sekcija “Ārkārtējība un normalitāte”. Doktorantu filozofijas sekcijā piedalījās dažādu programmu maģistrantūras un doktorantūras studenti, līdz ar viņiem arī Vēstures un filozofijas fakultātes pasniedzēji, akadēmiķi un LU Filozofijas un socioloģijas institūta pētnieki. Krājumā ir publicētas 23 tēzes, kas apkopo organizētajā konferences sekcijā “Ārkārtējība un normalitāte” nolasītos referātus. Tēzēs ir iespēja iepazīties ar doktorantu filozofijas sekcijas tēmas aktualitāti 21. gadsimta šķērsgriezumā, kā arī, kā ideja par ārkārtējību un normalitāti ir attīstījusies epistemoloģijā, apziņas filozofijā, ētikā, sociālajā filozofijā un vēsturē.
