The MODALITY corpus is one of the multimodal database of word recordings in English. It consists of over 30 hours of multimodal recordings. The database contains high-resolution, high-framerate stereoscopic video streams and audio signals obtained from a microphone array and a laptop microphone. The corpus can be employed to develop an AVSR system, as every utterance was labelled. Recordings in noisy conditions can be used to test the robustness of speech recognition systems. The language material was based on a remote control scenario and it includes 231 words -numbers, names of months and days, a set of verbs and nouns related to a computer device control. They were read by speakers as separated words and sequences resulting in a set of 12 recording sessions per speaker. Half of the sessions were recorded in quiet conditions, the other half contained three kinds of intrusive signals (traffic, babble and factory noise). The corpus includes recordings of 42 speakers (33 male, 9 female). The participants include 20 students and staff of Multimedia Systems Department of the Gdańsk University of Technology, 5 students of the Institute of English and American Studies of the University of Gdańsk, and 17 native English speakers. The dataset consist of recordings and visual features for SPEAKER 01: sex: man native speaker: no age: 27 The test material: COMMANDS C1 All recordings for all speakers are available at http://www.modality-corpus.org/ Sample still from the corpus(SPEAKER 01) Due to the size of the corpus (approx. 2.5 TB of data), every speaker’s recording was placed in a separate zip file of the size approx. 4-7 GB each. The recordings were organized according to the speakers’ language skills. The group A (17 speakers) consists of native-speakers. Non-native speakers recordings (Polish nationals) were placed in the Group B (25 speakers). The audio files use the Waveform Audio File Format (.wav), and contain a single PCM audio stream sampled at 44.1 kSa/s with 16-bit depth. The video files utilize the Matroska Multimedia Container Format (.mkv) in which a video stream in 1080p resolution, captured at 100 fps was placed after being compressed with h.264 codec (using High 4:4:4 profile). The ‘.lab’ files are text files containing the information on word positions in audio files, and follow the HTK label format. Each line of a ‘.lab’ file contains the actual label preceded by start and end times (in 100 ns units) e.g. : 1239620000 1244790000 FIVE which denotes the word “five”, occurring between the 123.962 s and 124.479 s of audio.Word-accurate SNR values calculated for every recording are also included in the ZIP file.

For further information contact us at helpdesk@openaire.euResearch data keyboard_double_arrow_right Dataset 2018Gdańsk University of Technology Authors: Gerigk, Mirosław;Gerigk, Mirosław;The aim of the project is to work out a model of the stealth maritime object which will have innovative solutions concerning the object form, structure and materials. These solutions should enable a modification of combinations of the object features defining the object stealth characteristics (difficulty of the object detection in the water). It is assumed that the object will be able to move on the water surface and in the immersed conditions due to the horizontal and vertical jet propulsion systems. The model will have four features describing the object stealth charactristics: innovative hull form (1), structure and hull surface covering (2), vibro-sound field (3) and possibility of modification of the boundary layer and wake of the object (4). There should be a posibility to change the above features as demanded. Submitting the possible combinations of changes of the object stealth characteristics will be the main result of the project.

The aim of the study was to determine the flow properties of serial connection of pneumatic components. The experiments were to measure the pressure changes in a being emptied tank for a directional control valve and a pressure relief valve arranged in-line. Four test configurations were used: (1) being emptied tank -> DCV -> ambient atmosphere, (2) being emptied tank -> PRV -> ambient atmosphere, (3) being emptied tank -> DCV -> PRV -> ambient atmosphere, (4) being emptied tank -> PRV -> DCV -> ambient atmosphere. So, four data files are included in the dataset. Each data file has a header where parameters of experiment are given. Additionally, for the valves analised, catalogue flow properties are given by means of sonic conductance and critical pressure ratio. The given data allow to verify calculation procedures for determination of flow properties of pneumatic components arranged in-line.

The linear and nonlinear impedance ofglasses doped with iron oxide were measured. Glass samples (50 SiO2-50-xPbO-xFe2O3 in mol%) were prepared by the conventional melt quenching technique. The substrates were powdered in a mortar and melted in Al2O3 crucibles. The melting was conducted in air at 1623K. The melts were poured out on plate heated up to 673K and formed into small circular-shaped pellets (about 1,5 mm thick and 20 mm in diameter). Next glasses were annealing at the 673K and cooling with furnance. After a polishing, golden electrodes were evaporated at both sides of preheated samples in vacuum, for the electrical conductivity measurements. The linear and nonlinear impedance spectra were measured in the frequency range of 1 mHz to 1 MHz and in the temperature range of 153K to 483K by Concept 40 broadband dielectric spectrometer. This dataset contains forecasted FWI indices calculated for the period: March 1 - September 30, 2019, based on the meteorological fields derived from the Weather Research and Forecasting Model (WRF) ver. 4.2.1. For each day FWI data with the forecast range equal 24 and 48 hour were stored in GeoTIFF files. In addition, soil moisture and temperature at depths of 0-10 cm were also included in each file. All data were saved with 0.01 degree spatial resolution and WGS84 (EPSG:4326) reference system. Detailed information about available parameters and dataset structure can be found in the readme file attached to the dataset. The Canadian Forest Fire Weather Index (FWI) is one of the most commonly used system for describing forest fire danger. The system consists of six indices. Three of them represent fuel moisture: Fine Fuel Moisture Code (FFMC) Duff Moisture Code (DMC) Drought Code (DC) two describe a rate of spread and fuel consumption: Initial Spread Index (ISI) Buildup Index (BUI) Based on those subindices a final FWI index is estimated which represent fire intensity. Calculations were carried out at the Academic Computer Centre in Gdansk.
