Project: IPCC Assessment Report 5 and Coupled Model Intercomparison Project data sets - These data belong to two projects: 1) to the Assessment Report No 5 of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-AR5) and 2) to the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project No 5 (CMIP5). CMIP5 is executed by the Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison (PCMDI) on behalf of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP). Most of the data is replicated between the three data nodes at the World Data Centre for Climate (WDCC), the British Atmospheric Data Centre (BADC), and the PCMDI. The project embraces the simulations with about 30 climate models of about 20 institutes worldwide. Summary: rcp85 is an experiment of the CMIP5 - Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 ( https://pcmdi.llnl.gov/mips/cmip5 ). In opdracht van Waterschap Limburg heeft EARTH Integrated Archaeology B.V. in maart 2022 een verkennend booronderzoek (IVO-O) uitgevoerd in een onderzoeksgebied aan de Molenbeek van Lottum, gemeente Horst aan de Maas. Hier zijn grondverstorende werkzaamheden voorzien in het kader van de herinrichting van de monding van de Molenbeek, waaronder het verleggen van de huidige beekloop en de aanleg van duikers, fietspad, brug en parkeerplaats. Binnen het vigerende bestemmingsplan ligt het plangebied in een zone met een dubbelbestemming ‘waarde archeologie’ en heeft een archeologische verwachting categorie 4: gematigde archeologische verwachting en categorie 6: specifieke archeologische verwachting (beek)dalen en oude Maasgeulen. Hiervoor geldt dat archeologisch onderzoek vereist is bij bodemingrepen die dieper reiken dan 50 cm mv en een grotere oppervlakte dan 2.500 m2 beslaan. De herinrichtingsplannen overschrijden deze ondergrenzen. De resultaten van het booronderzoek geven aan dat in het plangebied veelal een intacte bodemopbouw aanwezig is bestaande uit een humeuze bovengrond op een pakket overstromingssedimenten van het Jonge Dryas terras, met uitzondering van de diepste delen van het beekdal. Deze intacte bodemopbouw bevestigt daarmee de middelhoge tot hoge verwachting welke voor het plangebied geldt voor de perioden Mesolithicum - Vroege Middeleeuwen voor deelgebied II en voor de periode Mesolithicum - Nieuwe Tijd voor deelgebied IV.
