This study aims to determine the work productivity of vegetable farmers and determine the relationship between agricultural extension and the work productivity of vegetable farmers in Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency. High or low productivity of vegetable farmers work is influenced by the amount of production produced by farmers and the amount of revenue received by farmers. There is a real relationship between agricultural extension with the work productivity of vegetable farmers, this shows that the more often farmers get agricultural extension activities, farmers will be more motivated to increase productivity

This research is aimed at examining the best forecasting model for peanut price and analyzing the spatial market integration of peanuts in Bengkulu province. Monthly data of peanut from 2004:1 – 2013:12 are used for this research and three trend model, i.e., linear, quadratic and exponential trend are applied in which the selection of the best model is based on the lowest value of MAPE, MAD, and MSD. The VAR model of market integration is applied and combined with cointegration and Granger Causality test. This research finds that the best forecasting model is quadratic trend model. This research also concludes that spatial market of peanuts in Bengkulu has already well integrated and each district interplays a peanut price.

This study aims to determine the participation of members of the implementation of the ability of the ability of farmers groups in the Beginner class and Advanced classes and to find out whether there is a real difference or not between the participation of paddy farmers in the implementation of ability steps of the Beginner class farmers with Advanced classes in the District Batang Asam, West Tanjung Jabung Regency. In the short term it is expected to be able to know and identify various skills of the farmer group capabilities and the participation of farmers in the farmer group capability steps as a basis for increasing the ability and independence of the farmer groups. The method used is to use a combination of qualitative (descriptive) and quantitative methods. The research data were obtained from observations and interviews (in-depth interviews and structured interviews). The data obtained will be processed statistically using Man Withney analysis. This research will be conducted within a period of six months. This research will be very useful for the government and private parties who are directly involved in conducting agricultural extension activities to farmer groups.

This study was conducted to determine the success of Integrated Crop Management Field School (FFS-ICM) and analyze the results of the productivity of corn in corn farm in the village of Mekar Sari subdistrict Kumpeh Muaro Jambi. Sampling method using cluster sampling method with a sample of 72 respondents. Statisti analyzed using inferential. Inferential statistical techniques were used in this study is a paired t test (Paired sample t test). Discussion of the results of analysis of Integrated Crop Management Field School (FFS-ICM) to give effect to the knowledge, attitude and application of agricultural technology, it can be seen from the differences in knowledge, attitudes, and before the application of agricultural technology between the SL-PTT after the implementation of SL- PTT. This research aims to increase the attention of various parties on the importance of social capital owned by the farming community, especially rice farmers and in the future it is hoped that a model can be developed in developing social capital as a potential and strategy for agricultural development activities in the future. in the context of farmer community empowerment activities.In the short term it is expected to know and identify the various social capital owned and how much social capital is owned by the farming community and to find out how it relates to the farming behavior.The method used is to use a combination of qualitative (descriptive) and quantitative methods. The research data were obtained from observations and interviews (in-depth interviews and structured interviews). The data obtained will be processed statistically using Chi-Square analysis. This research will be carried out in half a year or in one wetland rice planting season. This research will be very useful for the government and private sector as well as NGOs' who are directly involved in carrying out empowerment activities to the community. For academics is also an important point in developing models for improving the welfare of the farming community in the future.

The purpose of this research is to analyze and cost production of potatoes farming at the Batang Sangir Village, Kayu Aro of District Kerinci Regency. This research used cost production analyze, received, provit and the farm avaible analyze bases on R/C ratio and modal productivity. From the research result we know that cost production of potatoes farming at the Kayu Aro of District was biggest for one season plants with wide average palnts 0,92 ha, need about RP.35.629.535/MT with average production KL 7.400/kg, super 4.520/kg and M 3.396/kg. The farming of potatoes is very profit. It show from the big result of potatoes farmer Rp.33.902.909/MT with profit is Rp.32.780.810/MT. The result of this research show that the farming of potatoes at the Batang Sangir village, Kayu Aro of District Kerinci Regency suitable to plants. Based on analyze of suitable to got value R/C Ratio is 1,95 ≥ 1. It’s mean is very increase cost is about Rp.1.000, that will got result about Rp.1.950. The productivity of capital employed amounted is 92 %. That mean biggest than Indonesia Bank Deposit rates prevailing on 2014 is 11%

Smallholder plantations play an important role in oil palm development in Jambi Province with a contribution of 70.47 percent to the total area and 57.10 to total palm oil production. Most of the smallholder plantations are self-managed which do not get technical guidance from both the government and the private sector. Therefore various problems are found in independent smallholders, one of which is the discrimination of the price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) produced by independent smallholders. Price discrimination does not only occur between independent smallholders and plasma farmers, but also occurs between independent smallholders. Data were collected from 240 respondents spread across 12 villages in 3 districts of palm oil production centers. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive method and using multiple linear regression analysis models. The results of the study concluded that there were differences in prices around Rp. 300 to Rp. 500 per kg of FFB between prices received by independent smallholders and prices received by plasma farmers and among independent smallholders. The price difference is significantly influenced by the quality factor of the seeds used, the amount of fertilizer use, the experience of farmers in farming and the marketing channels used.

Indonesia has the hope of becoming the world's largest cocoa producer and has a strong cocoa processing industry in the world. The challenge is the production of cocoa beans produced cocoa farming can not meet the needs of the raw materials processing industry in the country, so there is a gap between the production of cocoa beans from the farm to the need / demand for raw materials cocoa beans from the cocoa processing industry in the country. This study aimed to conduct development strategy formulation cocoa farming in Indonesia. The formulation of strategies in this study was based on justification from stakeholders using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis tools. The results from the AHP analysis showed that the most effective strategy for the development of cocoa farming in the study regions is the development of farmer institutions and assistance in applying technology (weight value of 0.309). The most important objective for the development of cocoa farming is to increase the production and quality of cocoa beans (weight value of 0.503). The key actor who plays an important role in the development of cocoa farming is the government, both central and local (weight value of 0.269). The most important factor to be considered in the development of cocoa farming is human resources (weight value of 0.193). Based on these results, it is recommended to strengthen the development of cacao farmers through a form of business entity owned by farmers who are accompanied by the government

The purpose of this study was to analyze the price integration of world palm oil price and soybean oil price, and to analyze the price transmission elasticity of soybean oil price to palm oil prices. The data used in this research were secondary data in the form of time series data. This study was conducted starting 21st July 2016 until 21st August 2016. The data were analyzed by using quantitative methods. Analysis of quantitative data in this study used pre-estimation test, cointegration test, and estimation of Error Correction Model (ECM), as well as price transmission elasticity. Pre-estimation testing includes analysis of variance, correlation analysis, Granger causality test, and data stationary test. Data stationary test were using the unit root test Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) and Philip Perron (PP). The results of this study showed that the variable of palm oil price and soybean oil price integrated in both short and long term, it meant that changes in palm oil price was influence by changes in the price of soybean oil. A change by 1% in the price of soybean oil will affect the change in palm oil price by 0.16% in the short term and 0.53% in the long term. The price transmission elasticity of soybean oil to palm oil prices was inelastic.
