We show that the assumption of type II seesaw mechanism for small neutrino masses coupled with $b-\tau$ mass unification in a minimal SUSY SO(10) model leads not only to a natural understanding of large atmospheric mixing angle ($\theta_{23}$) among neutrinos, as recent...

The possibility that both the baryon asymmetry and dark matter arise from the late decay of a population of supersymmetric particles is considered. If the decay takes place below the LSP freeze out temperature, a nonthermal distribution of LSPs results. With conserved $...

Based on 4085 pn→Xπ− events, X denoting a neutral NN or NNπ system, we present evidence for 5.1 and 3.1 standard deviation enhancements at the X mass of 2.85 and 3.05 GeV/c2, respectively. The lower mass bump has a width of Λ ⩽ 39 GeV/c2 while the 3.05 GeV/c2 is seen as...

Abstract Using a strong coupling expansion we show that in two dimensions the Liouville model has a continuous energy spectrum and that the mean value of the field is infinite. We also apply the technique to the one-dimensional system and to a simple quantum mechanical ...

    Abstract We have calculated the complete electroweak O (α) radiative corrections to the single Higgs-boson production processes e + e − →ν l ν l H ( l =e, μ , τ ) in the electroweak Standard Model. Initial-state radiation beyond O (α) is included in the structure-functi...

Abstract We point out that the centrifugal term originating from the rotational energy concentrates magnetic dipole 1 + strength in a dramatic way into a scissor-like state near E x ∼−3MeV. The importance of this term and its neglect in earlier studies is discussed. App...

Abstract The pure harmonic oscillator model predicts a family of axially symmetric hyperdeformed states with 3:1 major to minor axis ratios. Two members of this family have previously been identified in 12C and 24Mg within the Bloch-Brink alpha-cluster model. Here we pr...

Abstract In Cottingham's approach to electromagnetic masses ( δm ) one encounters the problem of unknown subtractions in the fixed mass dispersion relations for the virtual Compton scattering amplitude. We avoid this problem and express δm in terms of measurable quantit...

A general equation, describing the lowest order corrections coming from quantum gravitational effects to the spectrum of cosmological scalar fluctuations is obtained. These corrections are explicitly estimated for the case of a de Sitter evolution.
