TextDescriptives is a Python package for calculating a large variety of statistics from text. It is built on top of spaCy and can be easily integrated into existing workflows. The package has already been used for analysing the linguistic stability of clinical texts, creating features for predicting neuropsychiatric conditions, and analysing linguistic goals of primary school students. This paper describes the package and its features.

This deliverable reports on the work carried out in Task 6.2 of WP6 (actions for preventive protection - subtask to Task 6.2), which concerns preliminary actions for preventive protection, namely measurement devices and data loggers installation, in selected representative sites (museum building, storage hangar open or closed, possibly roofed).

By examining a singular case – the Rua Joaquina party in Lisbon (Portugal) – this chapter raises questions about the role of small-scale and locally based events in shaping feelings of togetherness, musical attachment and family affiliation. In particular, it explores how such events are meaningful settings for families, neighbours and their guests to meet up, jointly appreciate or perform music they value, and engage beginners in musical pathways. Accordingly, an approach of this kind also seeks to illustrate and understand the living aspects of cultural heritage. The used data came from long-term fieldwork conducted in Lisbon’s fado scenes.

The early history of leukemia reaches back 200 years. In 1811, Peter Cullen defined a case of splenitis acutus with unexplainable milky blood. Alfred Velpeau defined the leukemia associated symptoms, and observed pus in the blood vessels (1825). Alfred Donne detected a maturation arrest of the white blood cells (1844). John Bennett named the disease leucocythemia, based on the microscopic accumulation of purulent leucocytes (1845). That same year, Rudolf Virchow defined a reversed white and red blood cell balance. He introduced the disease as leukamie in 1847. Henry Fuller performed the first microscopic diagnose of a leukemic patient during life (1846). The Narrative Building and Visualising Tool (NBVT) is a semi-automatic tool to construct and visualise narratives, intended as semantic networks of events related each other through semantic relations. This tool obeys an ontology for narratives. NBVT uses Wikidata/Wikimedia Commons as external knowledge base of images and entities. The user of NBVT can select instances of the narratives ontologies among automatically proposed Wikidata entities, otherwise new entities can be created. NBVT assigns URIs to the selected instances and facilitates the construction of events based on these instances, and their linking to form narratives. The knowledge collected by the tool is exported as Linked Data.

Il sistema "geoportal-data-entry-app", nasce nell'ambito del progetto europeo "ARIADNEPlus", in cui in collaborazione e per i referenti dell'Istituto centrale per l'Archeologia (ICA) e per il Ministero dei Beni Culturali, si è realizzato un ambiente di prototipazione per il Geoportale Nazionale per l'Archeologia (GNA). In particolare, il sistema permette agli attori che lo utilizzano, il Project management (data entry e gestione del ciclo di vita) di prodotti spazio-temporali basati su Use Case Descriptor (UCD) document che ne specificano il modello del documento, gestione, lifecycle, handler, etc. Pertanto il sistema permette di: (i) accedere e ricercare i prodotti pubblicati nel sistema, (ii) accedere al report di pubblicazione dei prodotti, visionare lo stato di pubblicazione (SUCCESS, WARNING, ERROR), etc., (iii) accedere alla loro visualizzazione su mappa, (iv) gestire il loro contenuto mediante il flusso (Workflow) di pubblicazione, (v) gestire le relazioni (collegamenti temporali e/o qualitativi) tra i prodotti. Il sistema in generale consente il data-entry di qualsivoglia prodotto avente caratteristiche spazio-temporali e non, i cui metadati sono specificati da un indice che specifica uno o più Metadata Profile e la struttura del JSON risultante. Un Metadata Profile è un documento XML-based di specifica di un "prodotto generico" (es. un dataset spazio-temporale) e dei suoi attributi, che indica la lista dei metadati che lo compongono e che possono essere di tipo descrittivo, spaziale, temporale, risorsa (es. file immagine), ecc..
