    The purpose of this project is to examine how internal consultant’s work at Rigshospitalet, whentrying to implement changes for the employees. The project focuses on what challenges the consultantsface, and how they perceive these challenges from at communicational point of view. The researchis limited to the children and youth department at Rigshospitalet, and the consultants whoplanned a workshop for this department, to better their internal work environment.The project is based within the scientific field of social constructivism, which is reflected in boththe methods and theories used. The empiricism for this project is constructed through observations,as well as interviews with two consultants. Through the analysis of the empiricism the project concludesthat there are several communication gaps within the department at Rigshospitalet. Thesecommunication gaps are some of the challenges the consultants face. The project also concludesthat there within the apartment is a low level of psychological sense of comfort. Which further produceschallenges that the consultants must imply in their work.Other projects have examined the field of internal communication related to making changes inorganizations. Some of these have had a purpose to propose a number of recommendations to betterthe internal communication. This project has focused on making a contribution to the field of communication,but not make specific recommendations. Instead, the purpose has been to shed a lighton the difficulties that exist when working with communication in a department, in a bigger organisation.

    Dette speciale har til formål at forstå den øgede brug af hollandsk og dansk kulturarv i Kota Tua (Indonesien) og St. Croix (U.S. Virgin Islands) sideløbende med de voksende debatter om de 'vanskelige' aspekter af den koloniale fortid disse steder repræsenterer. Det gør specialet ved at udforske forholdet mellem kulturarvspraksis og nationale fortællinger. Inspireret af Deleuze og Guattaris rhizomatiske tilgang og Rodney Harrisons definition af arvspraksis, forstås arv som en samling af praksisser, bestående af kuratering, konservering og kategorisering. Ved at udforske, hvordan fortiden er repræsenteret i kommunikationen af disse forskellige praksisser, sigter dette speciale mod at kortlægge og sammenligne kulturarvsbrug i Kota Tua og St. Croix.Denne kortlægning viser, hvordan disse praksisser forbinder sig med dominerende fortællinger om hollandsk og dansk kolonial tilstedeværelse på St. Croix og i Kota Tua, især i den måde, hvorpå de reflekterer afstanden til denne fortid. Hvor en – indtil for nylig – stort set uimodsagt fortælling om en venlig kolonimagt bliver bekræftet i måden St. Croix fremstilles, skinner hollandske årtiers tavshed og tab af ansigt igennem i den følelsesmæssige løsrivelse fra fortiden i Kota Tua. This thesis aims to understand the apparent discrepancy between increased Dutch and Danish heritage use at Kota Tua (Indonesia) and St. Croix (US Virgin Islands) alongside growing debates on the ‘difficult’ aspects of the colonial pasts these places represent. It does so by exploring the connection between heritage practices and national narratives. Inspired by Deleuze and Guattari’s rhizomatic approach and Rodney Harrison’s definition of heritage practices, heritage is understood as an assemblage of practices, consisting of curation, conservation and categorization efforts. By exploring how the past is represented in the communication of these different practices, this thesis aims to map and compare heritage use at Kota Tua and St. Croix. This mapping shows how these heritage practices connect to dominant narratives about Dutch and Danish colonial presence at St. Croix and Kota Tua, especially in the way they narrate distance to these pasts. Where a – up until recently – largely unchallenged narrative about a friendly colonizer gets confirmed in the proximity of this past in Danish heritage practices, Dutch decades of silencing and loss of face shine through in the emotional detachment to the past in Kota Tua.

    A citizen-suggestion (Borgerforslag) in Denmark put forth in Janurary 2022 promotes the idea that couples consisting of two men should have equal legal opportunity as straight and lesbian couples of being regocnised as co-parents, introducing the concept of co-father (medfar). This led to public debate on questions of gay rights, reproductive rights and ethics concerning child rearing and new reproductive technologies such as surrogacy. We conduct a discursive analysis of a pamphlet sent to all new parents in Denmark to identify hegemonic understandings of parenthood, the positions of mom and dad, and understandings of the biological and emotional aspects of parenthood. On this basis we build a discursive analysis of a number of articles and comments published in Danish newspapers during the month of January 2022 as they relate to the citizen-suggestion. The discursive analysis is expanded with perspectives from affect theory and the concept of queer assemblage to discover how the discursive field is negotiating the nodal points. We analyse ideas of biology, the good of the children, the frame of the nuclear family as the only acceptable option for non-heterosexual parents, among others. We end the paper with a discussion of the influence of power structures and counter-discourse on the questions raised (and not raised) in the public debate.

    This study investigates whether the so-called Covid-19 critical movement continues itsactivity after the end of the restrictions in Denmark, and if so, what the activity is anexpression of.Methodologically this study takes a phenomenologically inspired, qualitativeapproach. The study is based on digital and physical observations, and four semistructuredinterviews with members from the movement.The theoretical frame of this study is based on New Social Movement Theory byRonald Inglehart, coupled with perspectives from the research conducted by sociologistsAnders Ejrnæs and Silas Harrebye. Moreover, the study uses theories about populism byErnesto Laclau combined with Jan Werner Müllers concepts regarding antielitism andantipluralism.We conclude that the Covid-19 critical movement continues to exist, but in a new form.However, in the current state, the movement shows more system critical tendencies.Therefore the Covid-19 epidemic has functioned as a catalyst for the present broadendcritique. This critique concerns different topics which are not seemingly correlated, but endsup being connected in an equivalent chain that relates all topics to system critique and a ‘fightfor freedom’. Furthermore, the movement is built upon distinct ‘freedom values’ due to theinfluence of strong post materialistic values. The movement is also influenced by populisttendencies such as antagonism, antielitism and antipluralism. Some of the critique which isexpressed by the movement can be seen as a sign of democratic satisfaction. However, someof the critiques also indicate a democratic dissatisfaction.

    This project seeks to examine how acknowledgement and the performance-oriented society leads young women to join the online PRIV-network. This will be done through a research question, which is defined as follows: “What roles do recognition and the performance society play when young women choose to become part of the PRIV-network?” The purpose of this project is to investigate why young women seek networks, such as PRIV and what they get out of it. We’ve chosen to use Critical Theory as our theoretical position in science, as we, by this, can include Axel Honneth’s Theory of acknowledgement, as well as Anders Petersen’s theory of the Performance Society. We will do this by including statements from two expert-interviews that we have chosen to conduct. Axel Honneth works with three types of spheres; the private/love sphere, the sphere of rights and the solidarity sphere. Each of these spheres follows a form of acknowledgement. If the young women don’t achieve this acknowledgement, it will have an impact on their identity formation. In addition, there are also three types of violations that the young women can experience in their lives, which can also lead them to the PRIV-network. It can be argued that one can sense a performance culture in the PRIV-network, as the young women compete for who is the worst physically and mentally, by sharing photos and videos of themselves doing self-harm, to get more followers and likes. By this, they achieve solidarity acknowledgement. In relation to the performance society, we have come to the conclusion that there are some norms and rules in the current society, which means that the young women have to live up to certain demands, as well as live up to the demands they make upon themselves based on the society. The performance society thus plays a significant role in identifying what leads the young women into the PRIV-network. It is also seen as the basis of the various experiences of violations that the young women have experienced. Taking our analysis and discussion into consideration, we can conclude that both acknowledgement and the performance society should be given an importance and not at least, a great significance when the young women choose to join the PRIV-network. På baggrund af vores problemformulering kan vi konkludere, at både anerkendelsen og præstationssamfundet, helt overordnet, bør tillægges en vigtig og ikke mindst stor betydning, når de unge kvinder vælger at tilslutte sig PRIV-netværket. Til at understøtte denne problemstilling, har de valgte teorier på hver deres måde bidraget til, at projektet kunne opretholde sit normative standpunkt, som er hele essensen ved kritisk teori.

    This project seeks to investigate possible discursive similarities between the self-help books 12 rules for life (2018), Live more, think less (2017) and the central canonical text of the Church of Scientology, Dianetics (1950). We examine the different texts with the intention to conduct a discourse analysis, by looking at recontextualized words, conceptual metaphors, personifications and parables. We wish to understand whether or not the books convey similar notions of subjectivity, by examining the discourses of the chosen literature. The results of our critical discourse analysis demonstrates that the self-help books and Dianetics make use of similar stylistic devices. Furthermore we intend to understand how these stylistic devices contribute to a notion of subjectivity identifiable in the texts. Our results also showed that the self-help books contain multiple instances of parables, while Dianetics (1950) lacks this device. We have identified ideals relating to each of the texts which differ from each other, but nonetheless maintain that the subject is problematized by its own being. We thus conclude that there is a perceivable similarity in terms of discourse, while also contemplating the poststructural ontological foundation of the project, and how it excludes any objectivity of truth.

    The purpose of this project is to examine how internal consultant’s work at Rigshospitalet, whentrying to implement changes for the employees. The project focuses on what challenges the consultantsface, and how they perceive these challenges from at communicational point of view. The researchis limited to the children and youth department at Rigshospitalet, and the consultants whoplanned a workshop for this department, to better their internal work environment.The project is based within the scientific field of social constructivism, which is reflected in boththe methods and theories used. The empiricism for this project is constructed through observations,as well as interviews with two consultants. Through the analysis of the empiricism the project concludesthat there are several communication gaps within the department at Rigshospitalet. Thesecommunication gaps are some of the challenges the consultants face. The project also concludesthat there within the apartment is a low level of psychological sense of comfort. Which further produceschallenges that the consultants must imply in their work.Other projects have examined the field of internal communication related to making changes inorganizations. Some of these have had a purpose to propose a number of recommendations to betterthe internal communication. This project has focused on making a contribution to the field of communication,but not make specific recommendations. Instead, the purpose has been to shed a lighton the difficulties that exist when working with communication in a department, in a bigger organisation.

    Dette speciale har til formål at forstå den øgede brug af hollandsk og dansk kulturarv i Kota Tua (Indonesien) og St. Croix (U.S. Virgin Islands) sideløbende med de voksende debatter om de 'vanskelige' aspekter af den koloniale fortid disse steder repræsenterer. Det gør specialet ved at udforske forholdet mellem kulturarvspraksis og nationale fortællinger. Inspireret af Deleuze og Guattaris rhizomatiske tilgang og Rodney Harrisons definition af arvspraksis, forstås arv som en samling af praksisser, bestående af kuratering, konservering og kategorisering. Ved at udforske, hvordan fortiden er repræsenteret i kommunikationen af disse forskellige praksisser, sigter dette speciale mod at kortlægge og sammenligne kulturarvsbrug i Kota Tua og St. Croix.Denne kortlægning viser, hvordan disse praksisser forbinder sig med dominerende fortællinger om hollandsk og dansk kolonial tilstedeværelse på St. Croix og i Kota Tua, især i den måde, hvorpå de reflekterer afstanden til denne fortid. Hvor en – indtil for nylig – stort set uimodsagt fortælling om en venlig kolonimagt bliver bekræftet i måden St. Croix fremstilles, skinner hollandske årtiers tavshed og tab af ansigt igennem i den følelsesmæssige løsrivelse fra fortiden i Kota Tua. This thesis aims to understand the apparent discrepancy between increased Dutch and Danish heritage use at Kota Tua (Indonesia) and St. Croix (US Virgin Islands) alongside growing debates on the ‘difficult’ aspects of the colonial pasts these places represent. It does so by exploring the connection between heritage practices and national narratives. Inspired by Deleuze and Guattari’s rhizomatic approach and Rodney Harrison’s definition of heritage practices, heritage is understood as an assemblage of practices, consisting of curation, conservation and categorization efforts. By exploring how the past is represented in the communication of these different practices, this thesis aims to map and compare heritage use at Kota Tua and St. Croix. This mapping shows how these heritage practices connect to dominant narratives about Dutch and Danish colonial presence at St. Croix and Kota Tua, especially in the way they narrate distance to these pasts. Where a – up until recently – largely unchallenged narrative about a friendly colonizer gets confirmed in the proximity of this past in Danish heritage practices, Dutch decades of silencing and loss of face shine through in the emotional detachment to the past in Kota Tua.

    A citizen-suggestion (Borgerforslag) in Denmark put forth in Janurary 2022 promotes the idea that couples consisting of two men should have equal legal opportunity as straight and lesbian couples of being regocnised as co-parents, introducing the concept of co-father (medfar). This led to public debate on questions of gay rights, reproductive rights and ethics concerning child rearing and new reproductive technologies such as surrogacy. We conduct a discursive analysis of a pamphlet sent to all new parents in Denmark to identify hegemonic understandings of parenthood, the positions of mom and dad, and understandings of the biological and emotional aspects of parenthood. On this basis we build a discursive analysis of a number of articles and comments published in Danish newspapers during the month of January 2022 as they relate to the citizen-suggestion. The discursive analysis is expanded with perspectives from affect theory and the concept of queer assemblage to discover how the discursive field is negotiating the nodal points. We analyse ideas of biology, the good of the children, the frame of the nuclear family as the only acceptable option for non-heterosexual parents, among others. We end the paper with a discussion of the influence of power structures and counter-discourse on the questions raised (and not raised) in the public debate.

    This study investigates whether the so-called Covid-19 critical movement continues itsactivity after the end of the restrictions in Denmark, and if so, what the activity is anexpression of.Methodologically this study takes a phenomenologically inspired, qualitativeapproach. The study is based on digital and physical observations, and four semistructuredinterviews with members from the movement.The theoretical frame of this study is based on New Social Movement Theory byRonald Inglehart, coupled with perspectives from the research conducted by sociologistsAnders Ejrnæs and Silas Harrebye. Moreover, the study uses theories about populism byErnesto Laclau combined with Jan Werner Müllers concepts regarding antielitism andantipluralism.We conclude that the Covid-19 critical movement continues to exist, but in a new form.However, in the current state, the movement shows more system critical tendencies.Therefore the Covid-19 epidemic has functioned as a catalyst for the present broadendcritique. This critique concerns different topics which are not seemingly correlated, but endsup being connected in an equivalent chain that relates all topics to system critique and a ‘fightfor freedom’. Furthermore, the movement is built upon distinct ‘freedom values’ due to theinfluence of strong post materialistic values. The movement is also influenced by populisttendencies such as antagonism, antielitism and antipluralism. Some of the critique which isexpressed by the movement can be seen as a sign of democratic satisfaction. However, someof the critiques also indicate a democratic dissatisfaction.

    This project seeks to examine how acknowledgement and the performance-oriented society leads young women to join the online PRIV-network. This will be done through a research question, which is defined as follows: “What roles do recognition and the performance society play when young women choose to become part of the PRIV-network?” The purpose of this project is to investigate why young women seek networks, such as PRIV and what they get out of it. We’ve chosen to use Critical Theory as our theoretical position in science, as we, by this, can include Axel Honneth’s Theory of acknowledgement, as well as Anders Petersen’s theory of the Performance Society. We will do this by including statements from two expert-interviews that we have chosen to conduct. Axel Honneth works with three types of spheres; the private/love sphere, the sphere of rights and the solidarity sphere. Each of these spheres follows a form of acknowledgement. If the young women don’t achieve this acknowledgement, it will have an impact on their identity formation. In addition, there are also three types of violations that the young women can experience in their lives, which can also lead them to the PRIV-network. It can be argued that one can sense a performance culture in the PRIV-network, as the young women compete for who is the worst physically and mentally, by sharing photos and videos of themselves doing self-harm, to get more followers and likes. By this, they achieve solidarity acknowledgement. In relation to the performance society, we have come to the conclusion that there are some norms and rules in the current society, which means that the young women have to live up to certain demands, as well as live up to the demands they make upon themselves based on the society. The performance society thus plays a significant role in identifying what leads the young women into the PRIV-network. It is also seen as the basis of the various experiences of violations that the young women have experienced. Taking our analysis and discussion into consideration, we can conclude that both acknowledgement and the performance society should be given an importance and not at least, a great significance when the young women choose to join the PRIV-network. På baggrund af vores problemformulering kan vi konkludere, at både anerkendelsen og præstationssamfundet, helt overordnet, bør tillægges en vigtig og ikke mindst stor betydning, når de unge kvinder vælger at tilslutte sig PRIV-netværket. Til at understøtte denne problemstilling, har de valgte teorier på hver deres måde bidraget til, at projektet kunne opretholde sit normative standpunkt, som er hele essensen ved kritisk teori.

    This project seeks to investigate possible discursive similarities between the self-help books 12 rules for life (2018), Live more, think less (2017) and the central canonical text of the Church of Scientology, Dianetics (1950). We examine the different texts with the intention to conduct a discourse analysis, by looking at recontextualized words, conceptual metaphors, personifications and parables. We wish to understand whether or not the books convey similar notions of subjectivity, by examining the discourses of the chosen literature. The results of our critical discourse analysis demonstrates that the self-help books and Dianetics make use of similar stylistic devices. Furthermore we intend to understand how these stylistic devices contribute to a notion of subjectivity identifiable in the texts. Our results also showed that the self-help books contain multiple instances of parables, while Dianetics (1950) lacks this device. We have identified ideals relating to each of the texts which differ from each other, but nonetheless maintain that the subject is problematized by its own being. We thus conclude that there is a perceivable similarity in terms of discourse, while also contemplating the poststructural ontological foundation of the project, and how it excludes any objectivity of truth.
