This Christmas issue's agricultural articles feature how to be a successful farmer, the impact of margarine on the dairy industry, the production of winter eggs, clover seed production in Kenora, the impact of irrigation on Albertan agriculture, and the landscaping of rural properties. Articles that focus on an agriculture education address increasing agricultural education in rural schools, and the advantage of an agricultural education provided by a Short Course. Other articles include the simple life of Thoreau, and the Canadian Patriotic Fund. Christmas articles feature Christmas festivities of other lands, suggestions for a Christmas dinner, and a Christmas short story. This issue printed the winners of the O. A. C. This graduation issue contains abundant photographs of the faculty, students, and executive committee members. This includes biographies and portrait photographs for each of the 1915 graduates from the Ontario Agricultural College and Macdonald Institute. Profiles and a class photograph are included for each of the class years (1915 to 1918) ranging from the freshman class to the graduating class. An Honor Roll is included of students from the class of 1915. Photographs and summaries of each of the college societies of the O. A. This issue is dedicated to the retiring English professor - Dr. O. J. Stevenson. In honour of Dr. Stevenson, a couple of articles recount his 25 years at the College and profile his achievements. The lead article is regarding the visit by the Governor General of Canada, Lord Tweedsmuir. The agricultural articles pertain to the new legislation of agricultural tariffs, the activities of the Canadian Chamber of Agriculture, and fundamentals of plant breeding. Ann Glendinning contributes an article on the question of country versus city living. Other articles report the activities of the International Club and a travel diary from Bermuda. The Macdonald Institute column contains poetry, a review of the Junior Girls Banquet, and photographs from the past school year. The centrefold is composed of photographs of the graduating O. A. C. students. The College Life column comments on the practical joke practiced on visiting girls and the start of the season for the O. A. C. Haymakers softball team. Alumni news provides alumni updates and changes to the graduate list. The Alumnae column reports on the preparations for summer events, a letter from an alumna living in Sudan, and marriage announcements. Highlighted at the end of the issue are the final examination results, and recipients of the scholarships, awards, and prizes. The highlight of this issue are the examination results and the convocation photographs. Profiled in this issue is the family of Anton Slovachik, a new Canadian family from Czechoslovakia who settled in Lambton County. Other articles report that an alumnus is competing on the 1938 Canadian Bisley Team, the consternation created by the German government's book donation, and preparation for thousands of summer visitors to the Ontario Agricultural College. The English department column provides updates on the recent acquisitions of paintings by the College. Agricultural articles pertain to the chemistry department's research into tobacco diseases and a soil survey, the dairy department's butter studies, and research about vitamin D. A professor writes of his travels through the West Indies. Preparation are being made for Farm and Home Week, 1938. Reprinted in the Alumni column is the photograph for the Class of 1895, biographies of the 1901 staff of the O. A. C. Review, and alumni updates. This issue begins with an article about the history and mandate of the Canadian Officers Training Corp (C. O. T. C.). An article contributed by the College Secretary addresses the need for high school preparation of the new students, while another article provides suggestions for agricultural education in rural communities.
