The aim of this paper is to present the most frequent models of prefixation of the verbs of motion in Macedonian and their semantics. More precisely, it shows which prefixes carry their primary spatial meaning in the derived verb and which have lost their spatial meaning and are grammaticalized (convey only specific aspectual meaning, i.e., inchoativity, delimitation, etc.) Such prefixes in Macedonian are за- expressing inchoativity (заоди ‘start going’, затрча ‘start running’, etc.) and по- expressing delimitation (пошета ‘walk for a while/limited period?’, поплива ‘swim for a while/ limited period?’, etc.). The analysis shows that the choice of the prefix depends on the semantics of the base verbs, especially on the type of situation which a specific subclass of verbs of motion denotes (activities vs. actions or processes).

Gledališka alternativa v Sloveniji in Makedoniji je bila v šestdesetih in sedemdesetih letih dvajsetega stoletja zelo pomemben nosilec novega gledališkega izraza. Kljub nekaterim razlikam so prisotni identični procesi in poetike, ki pomenijo deliterarizacijo, reteatralizacijo gledališča na podlagi del Artauda, Grotovskega, ameriške alternative.

The aim of this article is to define the legacy of ballet. This text is dealing with the concept of this category, its content and characteristics. The main structural division is connected with the text and performing text choreography. It is important to underline that the most important ballet performances such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, Raymonda (which are part of ballet repertory worldwide) are connected with a particular time frame (end of 19 Century) and with names of choreographers Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. Their choreographic ideas and constructed dance aesthetics revealed universal and timeless values that still communicate with contemporary audiences

The subject of analysis in this paper is the verbal root *dvig-, whose formal and semantic development can be followed ever since the Proto-Slavic period. The research is based on anthropocentric-spatial language theory, which enables the analysis of how basic semantic componentс embedded in some verbal roots representing basic human positions, movements and activities with hand, can be transferred and elevated by the evolving conceptualisation (of the material and mental world). The author analyses the derivatives of the Proto-Slavic verbal root *dvig- / *dig- with the embedded semantic components ‘human relocation in space’ and ‘relocation in space upwards’, which during language evolution have been transferred into the mental domain, preserving only the basic concept of ‘relocation’ and the broad concept that ‘upwards’ refers to ‘a higher level’, which is perceived as ‘better, more desired’ in the mental world. The author also analyses how these formal verbal and nominal derivatives carry this semantic information through language evolution, both in real and in mental world.

The author supports the thesis that prepositions are an integral part of noun phrases and as such function primarily as grammaticalised exponents of the semantic category of ’space’, and – secondarily – of the semantic categories of ‘source’ and ‘goal’ of an action.

The text presents traditional customs related to the acquisition of certain abilities by the child in his first year of life, as well as customs related to the birth and christening of the child, as well as some taboos. Special attention is paid to the customs practiced by members of the Serb community in Novi Pazar. Given that the Serbs are in the minority in this place, it is of particular importance to present ways of preserving the old traditional patterns, which present a form of self-preservation of ethnicity in a majority Muslim environment. With this work we wanted to present the richness of these customs, as well as their modifications in modern times, that arise as a consequence of social changes, and above all, changes in culture and economy in Serbia.
