    In het kader van de vergunningverlening ten behoeve van de herinrichting van de haven te Sint-Maartensdijk (Gemeente Tholen) werd een Archeologisch Bureauonderzoek uitgevoerd.

    ADC ArcheoProjecten heeft in mei 2013 een Inventariserend veldonderzoek uitgevoerd op twee locaties binnen het marinecomplex in Den Helder. De eerste locatie betrof de Berghaven, waar een kade aangelegd zal worden, de tweede locatie betrof de locatie van de geplande uitbreiding van de NBCD-school. Hieruit is naar voren gekomen dat er een middelhoge archeologische verwachting is voor de landtong in de Berghaven in relatie tot prehistorisch en Romeins vondstmateriaal, en een hoge archeologische verwachting met betrekking tot structuren, sporen en vondsten uit de Middeleeuwen. Deze verwachting geldt ook voor het gehele oostelijk havengebied. In het westelijk havengebied is die verwachting laag door erosie en recente verstoringen als gevolg van constructie. Onder water is de verwachting met betrekking tot wrakmateriaal eveneens laag vanwege verstoring door constructie en onderhoud in het verleden. Conform het Plan van Aanpak zijn op de locatie Berghaven tien boringen gezet. Op de locatie NBCD-school zijn twee boringen uitgevoerd, drie boringen minder dan aanvankelijk beoogd. In deelgebied Berghaven is een opeenvolging van dekzand, basisveen, kwelderafzettingen, Hollandveen, wadafzettingen en een (sub)recente ophoging aangetroffen. De top van het dekzand is intact en in één boring is een fragment onbewerkt vuursteen gevonden. ADC ArcheoProjecten adviseert om het terrein vrij te geven voor de voorgenomen ontwikkeling. Het is echter niet volledig uit te sluiten dat binnen het onderzochte gebied toch nog archeologische resten voorkomen. Het verdient daarom aanbeveling om de uitvoerder van het grondwerk te wijzen op de plicht archeologische vondsten te melden bij de bevoegde overheid, zoals aangegeven in artikel 53 van de Monumentenwet. Wij wijzen u erop dat de bevoegde overheid op basis van dit rapport een selectiebesluit neemt. De mogelijkheid bestaat dat dit selectiebesluit afwijkt van het door ons opgestelde advies.

    The artistic relation problem of the society is getting more and more complicated. Despite the increase in art activities, many basic problems such as the reflection of it to the society and the opportunity of the society to benefit from these activities cannot be solved yet. In such an environment, the need to examine the problems, observations and even personal experience rises. As it is in every field, one way to the solution in artistic studies is to understand the contemporary and current problems and benefit from the previous experience. Music education and studies in Halkevleri has a long-run, comprehensive and massive music education experiment, which has been experienced by Turkish society. They have been conducted in accordance with the aspects that have been adopted for the music education and studies in this structure. The activities have been carried out in accordance with this aspect. These aspects which have been put forward in detail by Ahmet Adnan Saygun will enable us to understand the music education and studies that were conducted in Community Houeses between 1932 and 1950, which will in turn enable us to revise what was conducted in these Community Houses. The way Ahmet Adnan Saygun viewed the music education and studies conducted in Community Houses is also likely to enhance our way of musical education today. Toplumun sanatsal alışveriş sorunu çağımızda iletişimin giderek yaygınlaşmasıyla daha da karmaşıklaşmaktadır. Sanat etkinliklerindeki artışa rağmen bunun topluma yansıması, toplumun bu etkinliklerden yararlanma olanağı gibi bir çok temel sorun çözülebilmiş değildir. Böyle bir ortamda sorunları irdeleme, gözlemleri, hatta kişisel deneyimleri bile değerlendirme gereği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Her alanda olduğu gibi sanat çalışmalarında da çağdaş ve güncel sorunları kavramak ve çözüm üretebilmek geçmiş deneyimlerden yararlanmayı gerekli kılmaktadır. Halkevlerinde yürütülen müzik çalışmaları Türk toplumunun kitlesel boyutta yaşadığı uzun süreli ve kapsamlı bir müzik eğitimi deneyidir. Bu kurumsal yapı içinde gerçekleştirilen müzik eğitimi çalışmaları için benimsenen bir bakış açısı doğrultusunda hareket edilmiştir. Etkinlikler bu bakış açısı doğrultusunda yürütülmüştür. Ahmet Adnan Saygun tarafından ayrıntılı bir şekilde dile getirilen bu görüşler 1932 ile 1950 yılları arasında Halkevlerinde yürütülen müzik eğitimi çalışmalarına yaklaşımı kavramak, yapılan çalışmaları ve uygulamaları bu bakış açısı doğrultusunda ele alma ve gözden geçirme olanağı sağlayacaktır. Ahmet Adnan Saygun'un Halkevlerinde yürütülen müzik çalışmalarına bakış açısı, günümüz toplumuna dönük yürütülecek müzik eğitimi çalışmaları için de katkı getirecek zenginliktedir.

    Interstitial lung disease is an overarching term for a wide range of disorders characterized by inflammation and/or fibrosis in the lungs. Most prevalent forms, among others, include idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and connective tissue disease associated interstitial lung disease (CTD-ILD). Currently, only disease modifying treatment options are available for IPF and progressive fibrotic CTD-ILD, leading to reduction or stabilization in the rate of lung function decline at best. Management of these patients would greatly advance if we identify new strategies to improve (1) early detection of ILD, (2) predicting ILD progression, (3) predicting response to therapy and (4) understanding pathophysiology. Over the last years, positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) have emerged as promising molecular imaging techniques to improve ILD management. Both are non-invasive diagnostic tools to assess molecular characteristics of an individual patient with the potential to apply personalized treatment. In this review, we encompass the currently available pre-clinical and clinical studies on molecular imaging with PET and SPECT in IPF and CTD-ILD. We provide recommendations for potential future clinical applications of these tracers and directions for future research.

    Lab-on-a-Chip (LoC) systems are utilized for medicine and biotechnology applications. The field reaches from synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients up to the detection of specific biomarkers and the cultivation of human cells and human tissues for substance testing, personalized and regenerative medicine. LoC systems can be realized quickly and flexibly with an established closed technology chain developed at Fraunhofer IWS. In the first step, the system is constructively split into individual layers, which are later formed in each case by a separate foil. In the second step, a material with the desired properties is selected from the functional boundary conditions for each layer. In the third step, the foils are cut by means of laser micro-material processing, structured on both sides and optionally functionalized. In the fourth and final step, the individual foils are laminated together into a multilayer system using different technologies. In order to increase the effectiveness of laser micro-material processing, the established scanner-based optical design was further developed. The f-Theta lens was removed and replaced by a dynamic beam shaping element and a fixed focal length lens located in the beam path in advance of the scanner (""post-objective scanning""). As a high-dynamic beam shaping module, a mirror with piezo-driven surface curvature is used. The focal spot can be placed in a plane via a defined curvature as a function of the scanner mirror positions. By eliminating the f-Theta objective, the working area is increased by a factor of 4, resulting in a total process efficiency improvement.
