2019 yılının sonlarına doğru ortaya çıkan ve tüm dünyada pandemiye sebep olan yeni koronavirüs hastalığı (COVID-19), 2020 yılında tüm dünyada milyonlarca insanı enfekte etmiştir. Günümüzde COVID-19 ile ilgili çalışmalar giderek artmakta ve her geçen gün bilgiler değişmektedir. Bizim de bu çalışmadaki amacımız COVID-19 tanısı ile hastanede yatan hastaların yatış süresine etki eden faktörlerin incelenmesidir. Çalışmaya Mart 2020 ve Haziran 2020 tarihleri arasında hastanemiz enfeksiyon hastalıkları servisinde yatan 102 hasta dahil edildi. Hastaların yaşı ve cinsiyeti, komorbid hastalıkları, vital bulguları, yatış esnasındaki lökosit, nötrofil, lenfosit, monosit, hemoglobin (Hb), trombosit (PLT), ortalama trombosit hacmi (MPV), aspartat aminotransferaz (AST), alanin aminotransferaz (ALT) üre, kreatin, C-reaktif protein (CRP), fibrinojen, laktat dehidrojenaz (LDH), kreatinin, protrombin zamanı (PT), uluslararası normalleştirilmiş oran (INR), procalsitonin (pct), D-dimer, ferritin, troponin, nötrofil/lenfosit oranı (NLR) trombosit-lenfosit oranı (PLR), monosit-lenfosit oranı (MLR) ve MPV-lenfosit oranı (MPVLR) değerleri retrospektif olarak incelendi. COVID-19 PCR ve akciğer tomografilerindeki parankimal tutulumları sınıflandırıldı. Aldıkları antiviral, antibiyotik ve diğer destek tedavileri ve hastanede yatış süreleri kayıt edildi. İstatistiksel analiz için verilerin dağılımı Kolmogorov-Simirnov testi ile incelendi. İstatistiksel analizler SPSS v.22 paket programı ile yapıldı, anlamlılık düzeyi 0,05 olarak dikkate alındı. Çalışmamızda 51 erkek ve 51 kadın toplam 102 hasta değerlendirildi. Hastaların yaş ortalaması 56,51±15,48 yıl olarak bulundu. Ortalama hastane yatış süresi ortalama 7,58±3,35 gündü. DM, HT ve malignitesi olan hastalarda ve favipravir, enoksaparin ve vitamin C desteği alan hastalarda daha uzun hastane yatışı olduğu görüldü. Uzun süre hastane yatışı olan hastalarda ateş, procalsitonin, AST, LDH değerlerinin kısa yatış süresi olan hastalara göre anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu saptandı. Lenfosit sayısı ve yüzdesi, NLR, monosit sayısı, MPV/lenfosit oranı değerleri ise yedi günden uzun süre yatan hastalarda anlamlı düşük bulundu. iii The new coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which emerged towards the end of 2019 and caused a pandemic all over the world, infected millions of people all over the world in 2020. Nowadays, studies on COVID-19 are increasing and information changes day by day. Our aim in this study is to determine the factors affecting the length of stay of patients hospitalized with the diagnosis of COVID-19. 102 patients hospitalized in our hospital's infection ward between March 2020 and June 2020 were included in the study. Age, gender, comorbid diseases, vital signs, leukocyte, neutrophil, lymphocyte, monocyte, hemoglobin, platelet, mean platelet volume (MPV), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) urea, creatine, c-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin, d-dimer, fibrinogen, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), creatinine, prothrombin time (PT), international normalized ratio (INR), procalcitonin (pct), d-dimer, ferritin, troponin, neutrophil / lymphocyte ratio (NLR) platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), monocyte-lymphocyte ratio (MLR) and MPV-lymphocyte ratio values were analyzed retrospectively. Parenchymal involvement in COVID-19 PCR, hospitalization tomography were classified. The antiviral, antibiotic and other supportive treatments they received and the length of their hospital stay were included. For statistical analysis, the distribution of the data was examined using the Kolmogorov-Simirnov test. Statistical analyzes were made with SPSS v.22 package program, the level of significance was taken into account as 0.05. 51 male and 51 female patients were evaluated in our study. The mean age of the patients was 56.51 ± 15.48 years. Average hospital stay was 7.58 ± 3.35 days. The patients were evaluated as longer and shorter hospitalizations than five days, and longer and shorter hospitalizations than seven days. Longer hospital stays were observed in patients with DM, HT, malignancy and those receiving favipravir, enoxaparin and vitamin C supplements. Fever, procalcitonin, AST and LDH values iv were found to be significantly higher in patients who were hospitalized for a long time compared to patients with a short hospitalization period. Lymphocyte count and percentage, neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio, monocyte count, mean platelet volume (MPV) lymphocyte ratio values were found to be significantly lower in long hospitalized patients.

Yeni tip koronavirüs salgını her yaştan çocuğun psikolojisini etkiledi. Uzmanlar kaygı ve stres kaynaklı olarak çocuklarda uykusuzluk, korkulu rüya, iştahsızlık, huzursuzluk görülebileceğini, pandemi dönemi yaşayan çocukların gelecekte kaygı düzeyleri yüksek bireylere dönüşebileceğini söylüyor.

ÜNiVERSiTEMiZiN GiRiŞLERiNDE HES KODU DENETiMi İlgili Kamu Kurumlarımızın aldığı kararlar doğrultusunda kampüs girişlerinde yapılacak HES kodu denetimleri hız ve pratiklik sağlamak amacıyla personel ve öğrenci kimlik kartları kullanılarak gerçekleştirilecektir. Aşı olmak veya covid-19 geçirmiş olmak veya 48 saati geçmeyen Covid 19 PCR negatif sonucu olmak kampüs girişi için sağlanması gereken şartlar arasındadır. Bu amaçla PERSİS sisteminde “KİŞİSEL” menüsünün altında bulunan “BİLGİLERİM” sekmesine HES kodu eklenecektir.

Araştırmalar COVID-19 pandemisinin toplumda, özellikle sağlık çalışanlarında olumsuz ruh sağlığı sonuçlarına yol açtığını göstermektedir. Salgının yetişkinler üzerindeki etkisine ilişkin çok sayıda araştırma mevcut olmakla birlikte, çocuklar özellikle; sağlık sektörü çalışanlarının çocuklarına olan etkileri hakkında çok az şey bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada salgın COVID-19 pandemisi sürecinde sağlık çalışanlarının çocuklarında salgının ruh sağlığı ve uyku sorunları üzerine etkilerini araştırmak ve ebeveynlerdeki sağlık anksiyetesiyle ilişkisini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma örneklemi, Türkiye sınırları içinde yaşayan sağlık çalışanları ve onların arasındaki çocuklarından oluşmaktadır. Araştırmaya 8-15 yaş arası çocuğu olan 1043 sağlık çalışanı katılmış, çevrimiçi olarak Sosyodemografik Veri Formu ve Sağlık Anksiyetesi Envanteri, Güçler ve Güçlükler Anketi ile Çocuklar için Uyku Bozuklukları Ölçeğini tamamlamışlardır. Sağlık personelleri arasında kadın cinsiyette, hemşirelerde, ruhsal bozukluğu olanlarda, kendisi veya çocuğunda kronik hastalık bulunanlarda, nöbet/vardiya usulü çalışanlarda ve bir süre evden ayrı kalmış olanlarda sağlık anksiyetesi puanı daha yüksek saptanmıştır. Güçler ve Güçlükler Anketi ile genç ebeveynlerin çocuklarında, hemşire çocuklarında, kendisi veya ebeveyninde ruhsal bozukluk olan çocuklarda ve kronik hastalığı olan çocuklarda diğerlerine göre daha yüksek belirti düzeyi saptanmıştır. Ruhsal bozukluk veya kronik hastalık tanısı olan çocuklarda uyku bozukluklarının daha sık olduğu saptanmıştır. Sağlık çalışanının salgın sürecinde bir süre evden ayrı kalmış olması, COVID-19 tanısıyla izlenmiş veya COVID-19 enfeksiyonu geçirdiğini düşünmüş olması ise hem ebeveyndeki yüksek sağlık anksiyetesi düzeyiyle, hem de çocuktaki yüksek belirti düzeyi ve uyku sorunlarıyla ilişkilidir. Araştırmamız salgın döneminde COVID-19’la ilgili psikolojik ve çevresel stresörlerin sağlık çalışanları ve çocukları üzerindeki olası ruhsal etkilerine işaret etmektedir. Salgın döneminde savunmasız gruplar arasında yer aldıkları düşünülen sağlık çalışanları ve çocuklarının ruh sağlığını korumaya yönelik etkili önlemler alınmalıdır. Salgının kısa ve olası uzun vadeli etkilerini önlemek ve/veya hafifletmek için özellikle daha yüksek risk altında olduğu saptanan sağlık çalışanlarının ve çocuklarının pandemi dönemlerinde ruhsal açıdan daha etkin şekilde desteklenmesi ve çalışma koşullarının iyileştirilmesi yararlı olabilir. Studies show that the COVID-19 pandemic causes negative mental health consequences in society, especially in healthcare workers. Although there are many studies on the effect of the pandemic on adults, there is little information regarding its influence on children, especially on healthcare workers’ children. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of the pandemic on mental health and sleep problems on children of healthcare workers during the epidemic COVID-19 pandemic and to determine its relationship with health anxiety in parents. The research sample consists of healthcare professionals living within the borders of Turkey and their children. 1043 healthcare workers whose children between aged 8-15 participated in the study, and completed the Sociodemographic Data Form and Health Anxiety Inventory, Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, and Sleep Disturbance Scale for Children via online form. Health anxiety scores of healthcare workers were found to be higher in the female gender, nurses, those with mental disorders, those with chronic illnesses in themselves or their children, those who worked shift procedures, and those who were away from home for a while. With the strengths and difficulties questionnaire, higher symptom levels were found in children of young parents, children of nurses, children with mental disorders, and children with chronic diseases. Sleep disorders have been found more commonly in children who have mental disorders or chronic diseases. The fact that the healthcare worker was away from home for a while during the pandemic, was followed up with the diagnosis of COVID-19, or thought that he was infected with COVID-19 is related to both the high level of health anxiety in the parent and the high symptom level and sleep problems in the child. Our research points to the possible psychological effects and environmental stressors related to COVID-19 on healthcare workers and their children during the pandemic period. Effective measures should be taken to protect the mental health of healthcare professionals and their children who are thought to be among the vulnerable groups during the pandemic period. To prevent and/or mitigate the short and possible long-term effects of the pandemic, it may be beneficial to support mental health of healthcare workers and their children who are found to be at higher risk during pandemic periods and to improve working conditions.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, okul yöneticilerinin algıladıkları teknostres düzeylerini incelemektir. Tarama modelinde yürütülen bu araştırmanın örneklemini, Denizli İli Pamukkale ve Tavas ilçelerindeki okullarında görev yapan 224 okul yöneticisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma için gerekli veriler, “Teknostres Ölçeği” aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel yöntemlerle analiz edilmesi sonucunda yöneticilerin algıladıkları teknostres düzeylerinin orta düzeyde olduğu saptanmıştır. Hizmetiçi teknoloji eğitiminin yöneticilerin algıladıkları teknostres düzeyinin azalmasında etkili olduğu; okul yöneticilerinin teknostres algılarının yaş, yöneticilik süresi ve mesleki kıdemle de anlamlı bir ilişki içerisinde olduğu görülmüştür. Buna karşın yöneticilerin cinsiyetlerine, eğitim durumlarına, çalışma alanlarına, bağlantılı branşlarına ve çalıştıkları okul kademesine göre ise teknostres algılarının değişmediği tespit edilmiştir.

Covid-19 Pandemic and Vaccine The online event titled “Covid-19 Pandemic and Vaccine” and organized together with Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) and Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate was held on 15.06.2021 between 14.00 and 15.15. The event started with the presentation of IGU FHS Deputy Dean Dr. A. Yüksel Barut and was moderated under his direction and it was participated by the Head of IGU SBF Child Development Department, Public Health Specialist Dr. Nurten Elkin and Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate Public Health Services Vaccine Programs Unit Specialist Dr. Önder Yel participated as the speakers. Meeting Director Dr. A. Yüksel BARUT opened the meeting by emphasizing the provision, which is in Article 72 of the Public Health Law, “If one of the diseases mentioned in Article 57 occurs or is suspected, the following measures are applied: (2) Administering serum or vaccine to patients or those exposed to the disease.” He explained the importance that individuals should use the opportunity to be vaccinated to get over the global epidemic. After reading the resumes of the speakers, he gave floor to Dr. Nurten ELKİN and Dr. Önder YEL. Dr. Nurten ELKİN stated that preventive health services are important in the protection and development of public health and that other individuals with whom they are in contact or live with should also be healthy, especially in the control of infectious diseases by defining the concepts of health, disease and public health. In the next section, she explained the concepts of contagious disease, epidemic and pandemic, and talked about the harm of communicable diseases to society and the importance of vaccines. Dr. Önder YEL started his presentation by explaining how the Covid-19 pandemic started. He emphasized the importance of vaccines in the control of this pandemic. Explaining the types of vaccines, he stated that vaccines are safe biological products, therefore vaccines coming from abroad are analyzed, their safety evaluated and approved by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of the Ministry of Health. Dr. Önder Yel talked about the cold chain and vaccine tracking system, which are important for all vaccines. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on social sciences was evaluated. Evaluating the issue, Asst. Prof. Viktoriia Demydova says, “Changes in housework, child care, elderly care and quarantine have increased the mental health needs of female faculty members and reduced the time allocated for academic studies.” When the applications made to Istanbul Gelisim University Journal of Social Sciences between the years 2021-2022 on the effects of COVID-19 on the activities of researchers are examined, it can be observed that the Covid-19 pandemic period had a remarkable effect.
