Biomolecular Sciences: uniting Biology and Chemistry www.rug.nl/research/gbb The scientific discoveries in biomolecular sciences have benefitted enormously from technological innovations. At the Groningen Biomolecular Science and Biotechnology Institute (GBB) we now sequence a genome in days, construct thousands of mutants, assemble novel pathways, compute the motions of and within molecules, and visualize single molecules and cells by electron and advanced fluorescence microscopy. The GBB was founded in 1992, but the history of biomolecular sciences in Groningen dates back to much earlier times, arguably starting with the appointment of Max Gruber as the first professor in Biochemistry in 1956. The GBB was established to unite the excellent research on biomolecules and cellular systems within the disciplines of Biology and Chemistry, providing a platform for multidisciplinary training of postdoctoral fellows and (under)graduate students. Since 1993, the GBB has been accredited as a Dutch research school by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences and successfully performs to these standards for 25 years.

This comment challenges essentialist "brain biased" interpretations of emotions from a historical perspective. (Digital) humanities research shows that the embodying of emotions is historically contingent. Emotion metaphors do not so much reflect what is happening in our brain or in other parts of the body: they reflect what people think/thought is/was happening in and outside their body.

We introduce Relevancer that processes a tweet set and enables generating an automatic classifier from it. Relevancer satisfies information needs of experts during significant events. Enabling experts to combine automatic procedures with expertise is the main contribution of our approach and the added value of the tool. Even a small amount of feedback enables the tool to distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information effectively. Thus, Relevancer facilitates the quick understanding of and proper reaction to events presented on Twitter.

This submission contains three tomographic datasets of a fragment of fabric woven in tapestry weave. The data is collected at three different zoom levels to achieve different reconstructed image resolution. The data is made available as part of [Bossema 2020].

Verbal communication disorders are a hallmark of many neurological and psychiatric illnesses. Recent developments in computational analysis provide objective characterizations of these language abnormalities. We conducted a meta-analysis assessing semantic space models as a diagnostic or prognostic tool in psychiatric or neurological disorders. Diagnostic test accuracy analyses revealed reasonable sensitivity and specificity and high overall efficacy in differentiating between patients and controls (n=1680: Hedges' g=.73, p=.001). These memoirs span the first fifty years of the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC). They are the personal observations and remembrance of Prof. Henk Timmerman, who witnessed how the EFMC developed since its inception in December 1969, and are published at the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the EFMC. They include, with permission from the EFMC, material that was previously published in EFMC newsletters. These texts are for the first time united and completed, to tell the history of an organization that has accompanied and shaped the development of medicinal chemistry in Europe. They also highlight, through facts and anecdotes, the role of the men and women who are the scientific leaders and drivers of this extended scientific community.

The competition tasks at the International Olympiad in Informatics have evolved over its 20-year history. We distinguish three periods in this evolution and highlight it from various viewpoints. The 101 competition tasks are presented in a table that summarizes their task type and difficulty level, and that classifies them according to concepts involved in their problem and solution domains.
