We present a 3-D lithospheric-scale data-constrained structural model covering the area of North Patagonian Massif Plateau (NPM) and its surroundings. These data are supplementary material to “Lithospheric 3D gravity modelling using upper-mantle density constraints: Towards a characterization of the crustal configuration in the North Patagonian Massif area, Argentina” (Gómez Dacal et al. 2017). The North Patagonian Massif (NPM), in central Argentina, includes a plateau of an average altitude of 1200 m.a.s.l. mostly surrounded by basins that stand between 500 to 700 m below it. Geological observations and previous works indicate that the present-day elevation of the plateau was reached in the Paleogene by a sudden uplift that did not involve noticeable deformation. To gain insight into the causes of the uplift and the geodynamic development of the area, it is necessary to characterize the present-day configuration of the lithosphere. The lithospheric-scale 3D model was developed by integrating all the available data of the area (e.g. regional and global models of different layers, seismic data, xenoliths) to build an initial structural model. Details on the datasets used for each model layer are listed in the main article. Furthermore, the initial model was tested against the gravity observations with the objective of assessing the depth of the crust–mantle discontinuity (Moho). The density model was built with IGMAS+ software (Interactive Geophysical Modelling Assistant, Götze and Schmidt, 2010). During the construction of the initial density model, we tested different mantle density scenarios obtained using P- and S-wave velocities from tomographic models, converting them into densities and comparing the conversions with densities obtained from xenoliths.

doi: 10.5061/dryad.gh761
The behavior of invasive species under predation risk has been studied extensively, but their growth and reproductive responses have rarely been investigated. We conducted experiments with juveniles and adults of the invasive freshwater snail Pomacea canaliculata, and we observed changes in growth and reproduction in response to predation risk from a caged predator (Trachemys scripta elegans). P. canaliculata produced eggs earlier in the presence of predators and injured conspecifics compared with the control group (no risk), although the total number of egg masses laid by per female was exceeded by that of the controls after 15 days. Egg hatching success noticeably decreased under predation risk, and the incubation period was significantly prolonged; however, the oviposition height of the snails was not affected. A lethal effect of predation risk was detected in juvenile snails but not in adults. The growth of juvenile P. canaliculata was inhibited under predation risk, probably due to a reduction in food intake. Adult females exhibited a greater reduction in growth under predation risk than males, which likely resulted in part from the high reproductive investment of females in egg laying. These results indicate that P. canaliculata snails under predation risk face a trade-off between predator avoidance and growth and reproduction, where the lethal effect of predation risk is linked to the size of the prey. Growth and reproduction of Pomacea canaliculataThe file provides information about survival, growth, food intake, egg mass production, clutch size, oviposition height, hatching success and incubation period of an invasive snail Pomacea canaliculata under predation risk.

The provided structural model consists of 11 units including: (i) sea water and ice; (ii) two layers of sedimentary cover: a shallow and a deep unit; (iii) five crystalline crust units composed of an upper and a lower continental crustal, an oceanic crust and two units of lower crustal bodies (LCB); (iv) two lithospheric mantle units: a continental and an oceanic layer. The structural model has a dimension of 2000 km x 2500 km x 300 km and is provided in regularly spaced grids of 10 km, which are identical for all model units. For the gravity modelling the model limits have been extended by 500 km horizontally in all directions including constraining information for the extended region. The extended model horizons are represented in the density model. Additionally, we provide gravity data, density voxel cube and related tomography data. Files are subdivided into five categories: 1. Structural interface 2. Density model horizon 3. Gravity data 4. Density voxel cube 5. Tomography data The Northeast Atlantic (NEA) region has long been a subject of interest due to its complex geological history, particularly regarding the interaction between the Iceland plume and the lithospheric plates. In this data publication, we present a comprehensive three-dimensional structural and density model of the NEA crust and uppermost mantle, consolidating and integrating a wide range of previously fragmented data sets. Our model highlights the influence of the Iceland plume on the region's geological evolution, shedding light on the mechanisms that facilitated the continental breakup between Europe and Laurentia during the earliest Eocene period. The whole workflow and methods are described in Gomez Dacal et al. (2023) and its Supplementary Information.
