Por tercer año consecutivo han tenido lugar las Jornadas de Publicidad en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Información de la Universidad de Sevilla, que en esta edición se presentaron bajo el título Comunicación y Empresa. Procurando aproximar a quienes estudian el fenómeno publicitario y a quienes se encuentran inmersos profesionalmente en él, se contó con la participación de numerosos profesionales del campo de la comunicación y de profesores universitarios. For the third consecutive year, the Publicity Seminars took place at the Faculty of Information Sciences of the University of Seville, which in this edition were presented under the title Communication and Business. Trying to approximate those who study the advertising phenomenon and those who are immersed professionally in it, it was attended by numerous professionals in the field of communication and university professors.

This work proposes and evaluates object description and retrieval techniques in different real applications. It addresses the classification of boar spermatozoa according to acrosome integrity using several methods based on invariant local features. In addition, it provides two new methods for insert localisation and an automatic solution for the recognition of broken inserts in edge profile milling heads that can be set up in-process without delaying any machining operations. Finally, it evaluates different clusterings of keypoints for object retrieval and proposes a new descriptor, named colour COSFIRE, in the scope of the European project Advisory System Against Sexual Exploitation of Children.
