In ancient China, bamboo and wooden slips referred to as "Jiandu" served as primary mediums for documenting historical events prior to the advent of paper. These artifacts are rich in historical data and cultural significance. Accurate identification of characters on Jiandu is essential for deciphering the historical narratives they contain and plays a vital role in processing Jiandu manuscripts. We introduce the DeepJiandu dataset, specifically designed for the detection and recognition of Jiandu characters. Comprising 7,416 images annotated with 99,888 characters across 2,272 categories, this dataset addresses a variety of complex challenges encountered in Jiandu character recognition, including character degradation, diverse layouts, and variable forms and shapes. The authenticity and reliability of the DeepJiandu dataset render it an effective tool for training and evaluating models geared towards Jiandu character recognition.

Harmonious coexistence between humans and nature is one of the goals of building national parks. The social development status of the Sanjiangyuan National Park area is also an aspect that must be measured in the construction of ecological civilization. This dataset uses population density, medical service capacity, and the number of employees in the tertiary industry as indicators to measure the social benefits of Sanjiangyuan National Park. Among them, taking into account multiple factors closely related to population, such as land use types, nighttime lighting brightness, and residential density, the multi factor weight allocation method is used to spread population data based on administrative regions onto the spatial grid, thereby achieving population spatialization and generating spatial distribution data of population density in the Three Rivers Source National Park; The medical service capacity reflects the patient acceptance ability of a medical institution in a region. By using the network crawling method and combining with the medical and health institution data obtained by the Qinghai Provincial Health Commission, the actual spatial distribution data of medical service capacity within the scope of Sanjiangyuan National Park was obtained. The number of employees in the tertiary industry reflects the economic structure and industrial development status of a region's people towards the tertiary industry. Based on the population density distribution of Sanjiangyuan National Park in the corresponding years, the spatial distribution data of the number of employees in the tertiary industry in the four counties from 2010 to 2020 was obtained by converting the number of employees in the tertiary industry to a grid scale. Calculate the indicator values before (2010-2015) and after (2016-2020) the pilot implementation of the Sanjiangyuan National Park system separately, standardize them, and finally merge them into the Sanjiangyuan National Park Social Benefit Index dataset.

Several masterpieces by the 16th century painter, Pieter Bruegel from the Low Countries, can function as eyeopeners to understand how 'popular culture' is mediated or how successful multi-media inventories can be for cultural repertoires. These paintings were also used in Peter Burke's Popular Culture in Early Modern Europe. In order to fully understand the recent developments before and since the 2003 UNESCO Convention, it is necessary to situate these in a long term perspective, and Burke's book remains a relevant classic. This exercise helps us to recognise a number of implicit or invisible criteria for the lists of the Convention - like the 'no-electricity' rule. For the UNESCO lists, both popular and court/elite forms of culture from outside Europe seem to qualify, but for Europe, only expressions of popular culture are listed; the 'elite culture' tacitly falls outside the scope, up to now.
