Abstract Firstly, this paper expounds the concepts of visual communication design and computer graphic image design, analyze the relationship between visual communication design and computer graphics design in detail, including the similarities and differences between them. Then, it analyzes the requirements of visual communication design and computer graphic image design, including design ideas, skills and concepts. Then, it elaborates the practical applications of computer graphic image design and visual communication design, including multimedia products, artistic creation and design, and commodity appearance design. Finally, it analyzes the combination of visual communication design and computer graphics image design. It is hoped that more people in the industry will pay attention to visual communication design and computer graphic image design, which will help promote the further development of computers.

In the words of Jan Willem van Henten (1997:296), the fourth book of Maccabees “presents itself to the reader, from the very beginning of the work, as a philosophical discourse about the dominance of devout reason over the emotions”. Despite the fact that the terminology and phraseology employed in this initial portrayal keeps recurring at various points throughout the book, several scholars have noticed a disturbing mismatch between the prologue and the main body of the work. This paper addresses the question whether or not IV Maccabees is structured according to a thematically unified plan, and attempts to find an answer by focusing on some philosophical terms and concepts and the ways in which these feature in the composition as a whole.

It is hard to select and read suitable documents due to the rapidly growing number of scholarly documents. Keyphrases can be considered as the gist of a document so that a researcher can select the documents that they want using keyphrase queries. However, there are also many scholarly documents without any keyphrases tagged by the authors or other researchers. Automatic keyphrase extraction can help researchers to quickly extract keyphrases. This paper proposed an unsupervised approach for keyphrase extraction using graph-based ranking and topic-based clustering under the assumption that we only use the within-collection resources. We use graph-based ranking to describe the relevance between two words and topic-based clustering to embed semantical information into words. In this paper, we assume that each word has its own meaning, and each meaning can be considered as a topic, though we know nothing about these meanings. We use topic-based clustering to assign the “correct meaning” to the “correct word”. In addition, by taking the relevance among phrases into consideration and only using within-collection resources, we can use the graph-based ranking in our approach. The edges in a graph that are built for phrases can describe the hidden relevance between two phrases, and the weights that are set for edges can measure the connection between two phrases. Then, after using the position feature, our approach consists of an enhanced graph-based ranking and a topic-based clustering. The experiments are run on four datasets: KDD, WWW, GSN and ACM. The results indicate that our approach has better performance than the state-of-the-art methods.

Following Aristotle, Averroes rejects atomism and the infinite division of geometric lines. Thus, his arguments dealt with the continuity and contiguity of the non-atomic parts of motion. He vindicates the perceptual aspect of physical movement that shows itself like in-progress-path between two edge points A and B, in which there are middle parts where qualitative, local, or quantitative changes occur. Ramon Llull took the lines’ geometrical points as “motion parts.” Points are intermediate divisions that represent physical phenomena by the continuity of geometrical lines, surfaces, and figures. Also, he appeals to relational logic to spot the middle parts between A and B into the in-progress-path of motion. Those middle parts are signified by a dynamic vocabulary, called: correlative language. This contribution focuses on the conceptual environment of Llull’s assumptions, in which Averroes’ Latin readers explored the geometry and the vocabulary of motion intermediate parts.
