    Er is een archeologisch bureauonderzoek en karterend inventariserend veldonderzoek uitgevoerd op een terrein aan de Wusterweg te Castenray, gemeente Venray, provincie Limburg. De aanleiding voor het onderzoek is de geplande bouw van een varkenshouderij, waarbij de verstoringsdiepte ca. 1,50 m beneden maaiveld zal bedragen. Door deze geplande grondwerkzaamheden kunnen de mogelijk aanwezige archeologische resten binnen het plangebied verloren gaan. De natuurlijke opbouw van de bodem is verstoord en er zijn tijdens het archeologisch onderzoek geen aanwijzingen gevonden dat er archeologische vindplaatsen in het plangebied aanwezig zijn. Er wordt daarom geen vervolgonderzoek geadviseerd.
