    Som ett underlag för publiceringsredovisningen i årsberättelsen 2012 vid BTH har jag tagit fram ny publiceringsstatistik ur BTHs forskningsdatabas (FDB) som täcker de aktuella kvalitetsgranskade dokumenten som publiceras av forskare på BTH 2008 och framåt. Innehållet i FDB har kompletterats genom import av ”BTH- poster” från ISI Web of Science (ISI WoS) och Scopus. Sökningen i ISI WoS för året 2012 gjordes 121129 enligt specifikationerna nedan. Observera att dokumenttypen review räknas som tidskriftsartikel i den redovisade statistiken. I kategorin tidskriftsartiklar har ej typen ”Letter/ Notes” medtagits. En liknande sökning I Scopus för året 2012 gjordes 121203. Posterna fördelades sedan mellan de 5 sektionerna (COM, ING, DSN, HAL, MAM) via författartillhörighet baserat på min kännedom eller uppslag i FDB eller BTHs addressbok.

    This internship thesis intends to facilitate cognitive experiments for gameplay experience studies. To achieve this a psychophysiological logging framework was developed, which automatically reports the occurrence of specific game events to a log file and to the parallel port. Via the parallel port the communication with psychophysiological systems is possible. Thus, psychophysiological data can be correlated with in-game data in real-time. In addition, this framework is able to log viewed game objects via eye tracker integration. This gives some information on how certain game elements affect the player’s attention. For the development of this system the Source SDK, the game engine of Half-Life 2, has been used. Consequently, custom-built Half-Life 2 levels had to be developed, which are suitable for cognitive experiments. In this context, tools for level editing will be introduced. This thesis shapes the basis for further research work in the area of psychophysiological software development and is intended to facilitate this for future scholars facing these issues. Assessments of the health needs of refugees and asylum seekers in Europe tend to focus on trauma suffered prior to exile and during the flight to the host country. Less attention has been paid to the ill effects of the process of applying for asylum in the host country. An exception to this generalisation is the documentation of the devastating effects of being denied asylum for young people in Sweden. Some children whose asylum-applications are denied become withdrawn, and unable to eat, walk or communicate, are tube fed in bed, wearing nappies. The bed-bound young people have no obvious pathology causing their withdrawal from the world, except that their family’s application for asylum has been denied by the Swedish Migration Board.

    Malmberg, Jonas;

    Malmberg, J. 1997: Anställningsavtalet. Om anställningsförhållandets individuella reglering. The Employment Contract. Individual regulation of the employment relationship. Iustus Förlag 413 pp. Uppsala 1997. ISBN 91-7678-347-2 In this thesis, the author examines the extent to which the Swedish Labour Court accords significance to individual employment contracts, and other factors personal to the employer and employee, in determining the content of the employment relationship (i.e. the rights and duties of the parties). The first task is to establish the limits of the parties’ freedom of contract. Rules provided for by statute, collective agreement and case law may be either mandatory or default rules. A default rule governs the parties’ relationships unless they, explicitly or implicitly, contract out of it. The question here is how to determine whether a particular rule is mandatory or a default rule. Even mandatory rules, however, can leave a certain amount of space for individual contracts. Normally, a mandatory rule is only aimed at contractual clauses which involve disadvantages for one party. In addition, the mandatory character of the rule usually ceases at a certain point of time, e.g. when the right which the rule grants one of the parties has come into being. When the default character of a rule has been confirmed, the next question is under which circumstances the parties to an individual employment contract can be assumed to have exercised their right to diverge from that which is set out in the rule. These are the central legal questions in the thesis. The main place to look for answers to these questions is in the case law of the Labour Court. This collected case law is examined with three different purposes in mind. The primary purpose is to analyse the content of the law as it is today (the lex lata). A second purpose is to compare the solutions reached in the case law of the Labour Court in this area to those reached in other areas of the law of contracts. Finally, an attempt is made to shed light on the underlying goals of the case law of the Labour Court, in other words, the values which this case law seeks to protect.     Sörlin, Sverker;

    The Division has published reports since its early years in the beginning of the 1990s, then as the Division of History of Science and Technology. These reports are always good to have. They serve as anchoring points for institutional memory and inspiration for comparison and reflection. There is also always a certain friction in producing them… As our activities broadened and diversified considerably in the early years of the present decade – when we changed our name, adding “environment” to it, started the KTH Environmental Humanities Lab and also started to grow considerably – it proved increasingly challenging to also keep track and report on all the things we did. We realized that in order to motivate the reporting we needed to present our work in ways that invited our own reflexivity on what we were doing and where we were headed. We also thought we should use the report to communicate what we did better. The first report according to this new format covered the years 2012 to 2014. We then did a biennial report 2015-2016. This is the third of this new line of reports. It covers 2017 and 2018, years that have been just as active and busy as the preceding ones. There are a few dimensions of our work that we have gone a little bit deeper into this time. One is publishing. This is perhaps where we have changed most, going from a largely Swedish language publishing culture to one that is predominantly in the English language and where publications appear in peer reviewed journals and books. Still we are very active in Swedish media and in the national policy arena. We try to reflect on this seemingly paradoxical appearance. QC 20210607

Normally, a mandatory rule is only aimed at contractual clauses which involve disadvantages for one party. In addition, the mandatory character of the rule usually ceases at a certain point of time, e.g. when the right which the rule grants one of the parties has come into being. When the default character of a rule has been confirmed, the next question is under which circumstances the parties to an individual employment contract can be assumed to have exercised their right to diverge from that which is set out in the rule. These are the central legal questions in the thesis. The main place to look for answers to these questions is in the case law of the Labour Court. This collected case law is examined with three different purposes in mind. The primary purpose is to analyse the content of the law as it is today (the lex lata). A second purpose is to compare the solutions reached in the case law of the Labour Court in this area to those reached in other areas of the law of contracts. Finally, an attempt is made to shed light on the underlying goals of the case law of the Labour Court, in other words, the values which this case law seeks to protect.     Sörlin, Sverker;

QC 20210607
