In October 2019, a multidisciplinary team from the ERC HornEast project, led by Julien Loiseau, carried out a survey in Arra region (South Eastern Tigray, Ethiopia). The team was composed of Julien Loiseau (historian, Aix-Marseille University, director of the ERC HornEast project), Simon Dorso (archaeologist, Lyon-2 University, CIHAM), Bertrand Hirsch (historian, University Paris-1 Panthéon Sorbonne), Amélie Chekroun (historian, CNRS, IREMAM), Deresse Ayenachew (historian, Debre Berhan University, ERC HornEast), Hiluf Berhe, professor of archeology at Mekelle University. Also part of the team were Bruk Jifara, expert from the ARCCH (Addis Ababa) and Guesh Tsehaye, archaeologist, expert from the Cultural and Tourism Office of Tigray (Mekelle). During several days the team was accompanied by Nicolas Baker (CNRS Image), who produced a short documentary on the filed work. The data was processed and uploaded by Maryasha Barbé (Archivist, ERC HornEast, IREMAM) in 2022. The team was composed of Julien Loiseau (historian, Aix-Marseille University, director of the ERC HornEast project), Simon Dorso (archaeologist, Lyon-2 University, CIHAM), Elise Mercier (archaeologist, Poitiers University, HERMA), Hiluf Berhe, professor of archeology at Mekelle University, David Ollivier (topographer and archaeologist , CNRS, LA3M), Bertrand Hirsch (historian, University Paris-1 Panthéon Sorbonne), Amélie Chekroun (historian, CNRS, IREMAM), Jean-François Breton (archaeologist, CNRS, ArScAn), Deresse Ayenachew (historian, Debre Berhan University, ERC HornEast), Robert Kool (archaeologist, Israel Antiquities Authority), Desta HaileYesus (archaeologist, Mekelle University). Also part of the team were Dawit Tibebu, expert from the ARCCH (Addis Ababa) and Guesh Tsehaye, archaeologist, expert from the Cultural and Tourism Office of Tigray (Mekelle), Goitom Admasu, expert from the Cultural and Tourism Office of Mekelle City. Students from the master's degree in archeology at Mekelle University actively participated in the excavations. The data was processed and uploaded by Maryasha Barbé (Archivist, ERC HornEast, IREMAM) in 2022. This project has received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (Grant agreement No. 726206).; Diagnostic trenches to establish the hold of the medieval Muslim cemetery.; Tranchés diagnostiques en vue d’établir l’emprise du cimetière musulman médiéval.

Henri-Paul Brémondy, spécialiste de la pêche traditionnelle varoise, et plus particulièrement celle du quartier du Brusc de Six-Fours-les-Plages, a constitué une série d’enquêtes entre 1976 et 1978 sur ce sujet.

University towns have been proliferating all over the country since the beginning of the new century. It forms part of a plan of the central government launched in 2000 by which 50 new university towns will be put up in the city suburbs before 2020. The reasons for this push may seem obvious. Along with the dramatic increase in the number of students that pursue higher studies, land prices within city centres have rocketed. This makes it difficult for universities to expand their facilities and capacity. At the same time, selling old campuses bring sizable capital gains that allow for the acquisition of large terrains in the urbanizing city's outskirts (sometimes it is the government who expropriates the old campus, and the academic institution gets land in the new campus town as a part of the compensation).

Le corpus photographique de Marceau Gast sur le Hoggar est constitué de clichés en noir et blanc et en couleur (formats mentionnés par le chercheur dans ses carnets : 24X36, 6X6, 6X9 cm). Les photographies peuvent être issues de la période où il était instituteur dans le Sud du Sahara (1948-1956) ou de ses études ethnographiques sur l'alimentation (1960-1968) en tant que chercheur au CNRS. Il a déposé en 2004 à la phonothèque de la MMSH ses enregistrements sonores [http://www.calames.abes.fr/pub/ms/FileId-1566] ainsi que des documents d'accompagnement. La numérisation d’une partie des photographies a été effectuée sur un financement de la TGIR Huma-Num (CNRS, AMU) dans le cadre du Consortium « Archives des ethnologues » et le département de la Culture et du patrimoine scientifique d'Aix-Marseille Université. L'association des Amis de l’Encyclopédie berbère était détentrice des originaux au moment de cet archivage ; elle a pu venir en soutien à la documentation. L'ensemble du traitement des images et des carnets a été réalisé par Maryasha Barbé, reprenant les informations recueillies dans les carnets de terrain, les ouvrages et les enquêtes enregistrées produites par Marceau Gast, dans le cadre d'un stage de Master 1, "Métier des bibliothèques et des archives. Médiations de l’histoire et humanités numériques" (Aix-Marseille Université) à la phonothèque de la MMSH en 2020.
