    This record contains raw data related to article “Very rapid improvement of extended nitric oxide parameters, associated with clinical and functional betterment, in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) treated with Dupilumab" Abstract Background and objective: Background: Dupilumab, an anti-IL-4 receptor alpha monoclonal antibody, has been recently approved for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and moderate to severe asthma, demonstrating a rapid onset of clinical effects. CRSwNP is characterized by an extended type-2 inflammatory involvement that can be assessed by extended nitric oxide analysis. Objective: In this study we investigated whether Dupilumab is associated with a rapid improvement in extended nitric oxide parameters, lung function and clinical outcomes in patients with CRSwNP. Methods: : Consecutive patients with CRSwNP and indication to be treated with Dupilumab were evaluated for extended nitric oxide analysis (exhaled, FENO; bronchial, JawNO and alveolar, CalvNO components; nasal, nNO) and lung function 15 and 30 days after treatment initiation, and for clinical outcomes (nasal polyps score, NPS; quality of life questionnaires; visual analogue scales, VAS, for main symptoms, asthma control test, ACT) after 30 days of treatment initiation. Results: 33 patients were enrolled. All extended nitric oxide and lung function parameters significantly improved after 15 days of treatment remaining stable at 30 days. NPS, VAS for main CRSwNP symptoms, quality of life questionnaires and ACT significantly improved after 30 days of treatment initiation. Conclusion: Dupilumab is associated with very rapid improvement in type 2 inflammation in all airway districts and this is associated with improved lung function and clinical parameters in patients with CRSwNP.

    Aletta, instituut voor vrouwengeschiedenis;

    Oral history interview met een vrouw, geboren in 1927. Ze is twee jaar als haar moeder overlijdt en kort daarna gaat ze in een meisjestehuis wonen, waar ze tot haar zestiende blijft. Via een broer die communist is, raakt ze geïnteresseerd in het communisme en betrokken bij de Communistische Partij Nederland (CPN). In 1949 verhuist ze naar Heerenveen en gaat op het kantoor werken van de Bond van Land- en Zuivelarbeiders (BLZ) van de Eenheids Vak Centrale (EVC) in Groningen. Ze wordt actief lid van de CPN: ze helpt mee met pamfletten verspreiden; zit in het districtsbestuur; notuleert op vergaderingen; is agent van De Waarheid. Haar man leert ze kennen bij de CPN en ze trouwen in 1951. Ze heeft in de gemeenteraad van Heerenveen gezeten voor de CPN. De aanleiding voor dit interview was het Aletta project om levensverhalen van vrouwen vast te leggen die (actief) lid waren van de Communistische Partij Nederland (CPN) en tenminste 14 waren toen de Tweede Wereldoorlog aanving.

    Project: IPCC Assessment Report 5 and Coupled Model Intercomparison Project data sets - These data belong to two projects: 1) to the Assessment Report No 5 of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-AR5) and 2) to the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project No 5 (CMIP5). CMIP5 is executed by the Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison (PCMDI) on behalf of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP). Most of the data is replicated between the three data nodes at the World Data Centre for Climate (WDCC), the British Atmospheric Data Centre (BADC), and the PCMDI. The project embraces the simulations with about 30 climate models of about 20 institutes worldwide. Summary: decadal1990 is an experiment of the CMIP5 - Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 ( http://cmip-pcmdi.llnl.gov/cmip5/ ). CMIP5 is meant to provide a framework for coordinated climate change experiments for the next five years and thus includes simulations for assessment in the AR5 as well as others that extend beyond the AR5. 1.1 decadal1990 (1.1 10-year hindcast/prediction initialized in year 1990) - Version 1: The atmospheric composition (and other conditions) should be prescribed as in the historical run (expt. 3.2) and the RCP4.5 scenario (expt. 4.1) of the long-term suite of experiments. Ocean initial conditions should be in some way representative of the observed anomalies or full fields for the start date. Land, sea-ice and atmosphere initial conditions are left to the discretion of each group. Experiment design: http://cmip-pcmdi.llnl.gov/cmip5/docs/Taylor_CMIP5_design.pdf List of output variables: http://cmip-pcmdi.llnl.gov/cmip5/docs/standard_output.pdf Output: time series per variable in model grid spatial resolution in netCDF format Earth System model and the simulation information: CIM repository Entry name/title of data are specified according to the Data Reference Syntax ( http://cmip-pcmdi.llnl.gov/cmip5/docs/cmip5_data_reference_syntax.pdf ) as activity/product/institute/model/experiment/frequency/modeling realm/MIP table/ensemble member/version number/variable name/CMOR filename.nc .

    Ship tracks were reconstructed based on observed transits through the Northern Canada Vessel Traffic Services Zone (NORDREG) from 1990 to 2015 using a Least Cost Pathway (LCP) approach. The dataset is based on the daily positional data that has been reported to the Canadian Coast Guard by vessels traveling in the NORDREG zone. Reporting is not mandatory for all vessels, but there is a 98% reported compliance rate. The vessel types were re-classified based on Arctic Marine Shipping Assessment (AMSA) vessel classification categories (Bulk carriers, Fishing Vessels, General Cargo, Government Vessels and Icebreakers, Oil/Gas Exploration/Exploitation, Passenger Ships, Pleasure Crafts, Tanker Ships, and Tug/Barges). A single voyage was determined as each time a single vessel entered and exited the NORDREG zone. The weighted cost surface was generated based on a scale of 0 for least impedance to vessels to 100 for most. The criterion used were: sea ice concentration, bathymetry, and distance from land. See: Pizzolato, L. Howell, S.E.L., Dawson, J. Laliberté, F., Copland, L (2016). The influence of declining sea ice in on shipping activity in the Canadian Arctic. This dataset contains two data tables on number of population in counties in Lithuania in 1919-1939. The data table LiDA_HistatData_0238_Data_0001_v5 is prepared using the data of either the beginning or the end of each year, which was published in Lithuanian Statistical Yearbooks. The data table LiDA_HistatData_0238_Data_0002_v3 is computed by interpolated population data (a more detailed description is provided in the document LiDA_HistatData_0238_Interpolation_v1.pdf). The aim of such an computation was to have standardized data for the mid-year population data. Dataset "Number of Population in Counties in Lithuania, 1919-1939" was published implementing project "Historical Sociology of Modern Restorations: a Cross-Time Comparative Study of Post-Communist Transformation in the Baltic States" from 2018 to 2022. Project leader is prof. Zenonas Norkus. Project is funded by the European Social Fund according to the activity "Improvement of researchers' qualification by implementing world-class R&D projects' of Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712".

    During the ArcticNet annual cruises of the research icebreaker CCGS Amundsen, characteristics of the surface sea water (temperature, salinity, dissolved CO2 and O2) are monitored in conjunction with properties of the near-surface atmosphere (basic meteorological elements, incident radiation, CO2 concentration) to observe the relationship between the surface microclimate and the air-sea exchange, with particular interest in CO2. Central to this integrated dataset is an under-way sea water pCO2 system (General Oceanics 8050) attached to the ship's clean water intake. The following variables were measured continuously and logged at 1 minute intervals: pCO2sw (LI7000 gas analyzer); equilibrator water temperature; conductivity; pH; and, dissolved O2.

    Aletta, instituut voor vrouwengeschiedenis;
