This dataset is a supplement for P.E. Stek's PhD Thesis project titled "The Development of Technology Cluster InnovationPerformance: Health and Sustainable Energy" (January 2022). The dataset covers approximately 20 high technology sectors and is useful for comparative technology sector analysis. The patent distance data used to measure the effectiveness of the cluster identification method is also included.

The csv data file SAR_TBB.csv contains data on habitat characteristics and fishing effort of the Dutch beam trawl fleet by grid cells of 1 minute longitude * 1 minute latitude in the North Sea used to study the changes in trawling impact on the benthic ecosystem due to the transition from conventional beam trawling to pulse trawling. Habitat variables include %sand, %gravel, %mud, bed shear stress (N.m-2) and level 3 EUNIS habitat type. Fishing effort, expressed as the annual swept area ratio (area swept by the gear in km2 / surface area of the grid cell (km2)), is given for the total Dutch beam trawl fleet and for a subset of vessels holding a pulse license (PLH) when fishing with the conventional beam trawl gear (PLH.T.year) or with the innovative pulse trawl (PLH.P.year).

Gridded Daily Precipitation & Temperature Dataset at 5 km resolution for the area of Poland enlarged by the Vistula and Odra basins, for the time period 1951-2013, developed within the CHASE-PL project This high-resolution (5 km) precipitation and temperature dataset CPLFD-GDPT5 was constructed with the purpose of using it for regional- to local-scale earth system modelling, in particular for hydrological modelling and as a reference dataset for climate change impact assessments. A number of geostatistical techniques (kriging with elevation as external drift for temperature; combination of universal and indicator kriging for precipitation) were applied to construct it. Raw input data (daily station-based time series) were acquired from various providers: IMGW-PIB, DWD, ECAD, NOAA-NCDC. Three variables (precipitation, minimum and maximum temperature) are available at three temporal aggregations (daily, monthly and annual). Nine NetCDF files, each for the period 1951-2013, are made available.

Publisher: DataverseNLCountry: NetherlandsThe project’s research question is: How can we provide for a system that balances in an ethically reflective way technological challenges with industrial interests and farmers’ needs in a context of resource scarcity? To address this question, values and interests of farmers, industrial partners and other stakeholders will be equally incorporated in a feasibility study of a scalable technology for using rice straw productively, and in the development of a system for responsible innovation that can deliver this objective.

A non-hydrostatic free-surface model was set up to simulate salt and heat transport in a solar pond in order to: 1) investigate the added value of free-surface models for these types of simulations, and 2) assess the importance of heat transport along a sloping side wall. This data set presents the source code, the raw measurement and model data, and several movies comparing the vertical two-dimensional (2DV) model simulations to the measurements. The presented model code is an extension of the SWASH non-hydrostatic model, which is briefly introduced in this document. A complete discussion of the model results and conclusions are provided in an accompanying article.

This ET(SEBS) daily data provide estimation of global evapotranspiration values in a 0.05 X 0.05 degree latitude and longitude grid (3600 rows and 7200 columns). MODIS satellite remote sensing data (albedo, emissivity, land surface temperature, LAI, NDVI) and ERA5 meteorological data have been used in this ET calculation based on the SEBS algorithm. The dataset covers the time period 2018. More dataset will be produced and posted later.
