Годишњице су неретко референтна тачка за сагледавање резултата и постигнућа рада појединаца и колектива. За делатност научних институција, природно, везује се и објављивање монографија, зборника, часописа и сличних издања која доносе резултате проистекле из научноистраживачког рада и међуинституционалне сарадње. У години када Институт за српски језик САНУ улази у последњу четврт првог века свога постојања, дакле, када обележава свој дијамантски јубилеј, лепа је прилика да сагледамо издавачку делатност Института у претходних седам и по деценија као сведочанство његове досадашње делатности и темељ његове будућности.

Iako u Zborniku dominiraju radovi koji se bave naučnicama u prošlosti, kao i njihovim radom, saznanjima, nedovoljnom afirmisanosšću njihovog rada, poteškoćama sa kojima su se suočavale, zbornik zaokružuju radovi koji se bave savremenom situacijom, tj. položajem žena u akademskoj zajednici danas i svim teškoćama koje i same akterke katkada teško detektuju i prepoznaju. Patrijarhalni mehanizmi prožimaju društvo u kome živimo na različitim nivoima, a sami principi koji vladaju u akademskom svetu – u kojima sve više važe pravila liberalnog kapitalizma i ideje o „upotrebljivosti“ nauke i merljivosti rezultata – cementiraju i prikrivaju davno odomaćen diskriminatorski odnos prema ženama i prema naučničkom glasu i diskursu koji odudara od dominantne paradigme. Stoga su neophodni neprekidni napori da se ženski glas u nauci čuje, a položaj naučnica stalno unapređuje i popravlja. As a response to COVID-19 and while the onset of the pandemic was still in its very early stages, in April 2020 the Digital Curation Unit (DCU), Research and Innovation Center "Athena", as co-ordinator of APOLLONIS, the Greek Infrastructure for Digital Arts, Humanities and Language Research and Innovation, organized a Twitter Conference under the title “DH in the Time of Virus”. This event aimed at battling academic isolation and facilitating and supporting community building and osmosis in DH research and education. Due to its sensitive timing, with Italy going through extreme difficulties and Europe and the US entering quarantine and work-from-home regimes, the Twitter Conference provided a platform of communication of DH research pursuits as well as of expression of an unprecedented human experience. With the support of a DARIAH Theme grant, a year later, in 2021, we designed and organized a digital workshop in which we reunited the Twitter Conference participants alongside further DH researchers who were selected through an open call. The outcome of these events is an electronic as well as a printed publication monitoring the effects of the pandemic on e-Education, e-Research and digital tools, methods and platforms, the developments the pandemic has expedited and the delays it may have caused in DH research and the distance covered and toils endured by DH researchers and practitioners to keep track of their work.

It is funded by Trinity College Dublin, DARIAH-EU and the European Commission.This book explores the challenges society faces with big data, through the lens of culture rather than social, political or economic trends, as demonstrated in the words we use, the values that underpin our interactions, and the biases and assumptions that drive us. Focusing on areas such as data and language, data and sensemaking, data and power, data and invisibility, and big data aggregation, it demonstrates that humanities research, focussing on cultural rather than social, political or economic frames of reference for viewing technology, resists mass datafication for a reason, and that those very reasons can be instructive for the critical observation of big data research and innovation.

This is the second discussion paper produced by the UK-Ireland Digital Humanities Network in consultation with the wider Digital Humanities (DH) Community in the two countries and beyond. It summarises the findings of the second workshop organised by the network, and offers recommendations based on these findings.

This report is the sixth in a series of SPARC Europe and DCC analyses of national Open Science policies in Europe and covers the period between March 2020 and August 2020. This issue provides an update on activity across European Member States and relevant countries from the European Research Area. This edited volume collects together peer-reviewed papers that initially emanated from presentations at Digital Classicist seminars and conference panels.\ud \ud This wide-ranging volume showcases exemplary applications of digital scholarship to the ancient world and critically examines the many challenges and opportunities afforded by such research. The chapters included here demonstrate innovative approaches that drive forward the research interests of both humanists and technologists while showing that rigorous scholarship is as central to digital research as it is to mainstream classical studies.\ud \ud As with the earlier Digital Classicist publications, our aim is not to give a broad overview of the field of digital classics; rather, we present here a snapshot of some of the varied research of our members in order to engage with and contribute to the development of scholarship both in the fields of classical antiquity and Digital Humanities more broadly.
