“Digital-first” seems to be a crucial idea of our time. From the practical, economic, and even ecological point of view printed books are not the best solution. But still, this practice exists. This survey aims to answer, why in the digital environment occurs the textual niche. Is it a kind of relic or something which is deeply connected with human reading comprehension and the quality of text experience? To solve this problem will be used case study and cognitive methods. The crucial question for the presented paper is whether printed (codex) books and their reading means a form of distributing texts which will be progressively declining under pressure in the digital revolution (Q1). To answer this question, it is necessary to describe the current situation of traditional printing and also raise the question of printed documents especially printed and codex books have any features which cannot be replaced by online publishing (Q2). In the second question, one should take into account the cultural and subjective context of reading or possessing printed books.

Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) is anticipated to be an Asia-Class Polytechnic. The strategic issue of PNJ development to be transformed into an Asia-Class Polytechnic is the implementation of “Digital Transformation” for learning and servicing. One of the forms of this digital transformation is e-learning. The success of e-learning is influenced by how much the institution has prepared to utilize information technology in the learning process. This research uses an action research design with a questionnaire instrument based on an established model. Aydin and Tasci Model, adapted for an educational institution, is utilized for the preparedness evaluation. The measurement scale used in the model is a Likert scale (1-5). Aydin and Tasci divided the scale into four assessment intervals, which is not ready, needs much work (index 1-2,59); not ready, needs some work (index 2,6-3,39); ready, but needs a few improvements (index 3,4-4,19); ready go ahead (index 4,2-5). The result with a score of 4,16 indicates that PNJ is ready to implement e-learning with slight improvement, which is related to self-development and innovation.

Background: Data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (2016) showed that the highest prevalence of musculoskeletal disease in Indonesia by occupation is farmers. One of the areas where the majority of the population works as farmers is the To Bentong Tribe in Bulo-bulo Village, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi. To Bentong tribal farmers still farm and cultivate crops in the traditional way. Aim: In general, this study aims to determine how the behavior of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) of To Bentong Tribe farmers in Bulo-Bulo Village, Barru Regency. In particular, this study aims to determine the use of PPE when farming, work postures and Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) complaints experienced by farmers, as well as the pattern of seeking treatment by To Bentong Tribe farmers in Bulo-Bulo Village, Barru Regency. Method: This research design used a qualitative approach, where the method applied was the ethnographic method, while the data collection techniques used were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Sources of information from this study consisted of main informants (6 persons as Bentong Tribe farmers) and key informant was Bentong Tribe Head, Bulo-Bulo Village Head, Bulo-Bulo Hamlet Head, and Bulo-Bulo Health Center Head). Result: Based on the results of research obtained through direct observation and in-depth interviews with all informants, it was found that the To Bentong Tribe farmers still lacked knowledge and understanding of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). At the time of observation, the farmers preferred not to wear footwear. The farmers believe that the rituals performed can provide safety during work even if they do not use PPE (Personal Protection Equipment). In this study it was also found that the complaints most often felt by farmers related to work posture and feeling pain in the joints, hips, and back of the neck, as well as injuries caused by being hit by sharp objects such as iron from tractors, tools for cutting rice, and wood accidentally found in the rice fields. While the results of research related to the pattern of seeking treatment for the To Bentong Tribe farmers, farmers prefer traditional medicine to having to go to health services. This is because, traditional medicine is easier to obtain and can be processed quickly, the distance to health services is quite far, and the terrain that must be traveled can only be traversed by two-wheeled vehicles. Conclusion: Socialization to farmers is very important to increase knowledge about behavior and the application of occupational safety and health (OSH) in the agricultural sector.

Urbanization patterns in developing Asian countries may or may not follow commonly known urbanization patterns and models set forth by lessons from the developed world. A unique phenomenon described as desakota is well known as a unique artifact of Asian urbanization, in which new urban areas arise semi-independently from otherwise rural regions in proximity to the edges of continuous urbanized areas.. We intend to identify the interaction between the urban fringe and surrounding rural areas while taking unique socioeconomic and morphological characteristics of the Desakota into account. We utilize a combination of K - Means Clustering, factor analysis and spatiotemporal analysis to identify patterns of urbanization in Metropolitan Cirebon Raya, an industrializing metropolitan statistical region where agriculture is still a douse, around Cirebon City, using statistical socioeconomic and demographic data from Badan Pusat Statistik in addition to land use data obtained from Landsat. Between 2010 – 2020, we identified substantial desakota type growth, in which new urbanized land development occurred organically from a formerly rural area, weakly linked to the supposed ‘center' of the specified metropolitan region (Metropolitan Cirebon Raya). Based on the results obtained, we were able to corroborate desakota theory through quantitative methods, by taking socioeconomic and demographic data into account as a supplement to land use data. For delineation of metropolitan regions in Southeast Asia in which desakota patterns of development are presumed, we recommend utilizing the methodology we have developed, integrating both socioeconomic and demographic data to better identify desakota regions in peri-urban regions.
