    Sweet, Fabio; Rödl, Thomas; Weisser, Wolfgang W.;

    The COVID-19 pandemic has led to temporary changes in human-animal interactions due to changes in human activities. Here we report on a surge in hedgehog observations during the first COVID-19 lockdown in Germany in 2020, on the citizen science web portal 'Igel in Bayern' (Hedgehogs in Bavaria) in Germany. This increase in comparison to previous years could be attributed to an increase in the number of people reporting hedgehog observations, rather than an increase in the number of hedgehog observations done by each observer. Additionally, in contrast to other studies on the effects of a COVID-19 lockdown on observations recorded by Citizen Science projects, the share of observations made in more urbanized areas during the lockdown time was not higher than the change observed in less urbanized areas. This is possibly a result of the differences in COVID-19 measures between Germany and other countries where preceding studies were carried out, in particular the lack of measures limiting outdoor activities for citizens.

    Robert Koch-Institut;

    Für die Planung von Maßnahmen zur Eindämmung von COVID-19 kommt der genauen Kenntnis der Eigenschaften von SARS-CoV-2 eine zentrale Bedeutung zu. Eine besondere Rolle spielen in diesem Zusammenhang Mutationen des Virus. Für eine erfolgreiche Eindämmung der Pandemie ist es daher entscheidend, einen detaillierten Überblick über die Ausbreitungsmuster spezifischer SARS-CoV-2-Mutationen zu erhalten und auch neue Mutation frühzeitig zu entdecken.Hierfür stellt das Robert Koch-Institut die Systeme zur bundesweiten molekularen Surveillance bereit. Jedes Labor in Deutschland, das SARS-CoV-2 sequenziert, ist laut der Verordnung zur molekulargenetischen Surveillance des Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 verpflichtet, dem Robert Koch-Institut die Sequenz- und zugehörige Metadaten zu übermitteln. Technisch erfolgt diese Übermittlung über den Deutschen Elektronischen Sequenzdaten-Hub (DESH).Im Projekt "OSEDA - Offene Sequenzdaten" verpflichtet sich das RKI, die aufgearbeiteten und qualitätskontrollierten Sequenzdaten zusammen mit einer Auswahl von klinisch-epidemiologischen Daten über die öffentlich zugängliche Repositorien des European Nucleotide Archive) und GISAID für weitere Forschungsvorhaben bereitzustellen.

    Im Datensatz 'COVID-19-Todesfälle in Deutschland' werden die Todesfälle in Bezug auf COVID-19 in Deutschland bereitgestellt. Darüber hinaus wird neben der Anzahl der übermittelten Todesfälle der Fall-Verstorbenen-Anteil berechnet. Angaben zum Tod zählen zu den melde- und übermittlungspflichtigen Inhalten. Bei der Ermittlung von Todesfällen und der Bewertung der entsprechenden Informationen in den Gesundheitsämtern unterschiedlich vorgegangen. In der Folge könnte es einerseits zu einer Unterschätzung der Anzahl der Todesfälle, andererseits zu einer Überschätzung des Anteils der Verstorbenen einer Infektionskrankheit kommen. Ausführlich Hinweise zur Datenerhebung und Interpretation können der Datensatzdokumentation entnommen werden.

    , Huth; , Cominola;

    This dataset consists of the results of the first European-Union-wide survey on the potential long-term impacts of COVID-19 on higher education (Huth, M. & Cominola, A., 2022 forthcoming), evaluating over 800 responses from students and faculty members of higher education institutions located in 17 different European countries. The data consists of variables related to the actual pre-pandemic, pandemic and intended future frequency of use of various educational tools and formats, as well as students and faculty members' attitude toward retaining digital teaching formats and media post-pandemic. The data is shared in SPSS file format (.sav) and as a .CSV file. A detailed item bank label overview is attached in excel format. The attitude related items consists of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) construct variables following items used by Rizun et al. (2021) and Vladova et al. (2021). Following guidelines (Hair et al. 2019; Henseler, Ringle, and Sarstedt 2015) to establish discriminant validity before analysing the TAM variables in a structural equation model, the objective had to be disregarded. The data might still yield interesting descriptive insights nonetheless, which is why they are published here along with the variables used in the forthcoming publication by Huth and Cominola (2022).

    Die COVID-19-Impfung kann einen Wendepunkt in der Kontrolle der COVID-19-Pandemie darstellen und erfährt daher hohes Maß an öffentlicher Aufmerksamkeit. Einführung und Umsetzung der COVID-19-Impfung gehen mit besonderen Herausforderungen einher, die bei der Impfdatenerfassung zu berücksichtigen sind. In diesem Kontext ist es Ziel des Projekts 'Digitales Impfquoten-Monitoring' (DIM), tagesaktuell, bundesweit die Impfquote zu erfassen und folgend aufbereitet darzustellen, um zeitnah den Verlauf der COVID-19-Impfkampanne zu analysieren, bei Bedarf nach zusteuern, und logistisch bzw. organisatorische Konsequenzen zu ziehen.Der durch das DIM-Projekt bereitgestellte Datensatz enthält Daten über den Verlauf der COVID-19 Impfungen in Deutschland. Die hier veröffentlichten Impfdaten aggregieren Daten aus drei Datenquellen:Die DIM-Daten enthalten Angaben der Impfzentren, mobilen Impfteams, Krankenhäuser und der Betriebsärzte_innen, die über die DIM-Webanwendung übermittelt werdenDer täglich aggregierte Kerndatensatz der impfenden Ärzt_innen über die Kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung (KBV)Der täglich aggregierte Kerndatensatz der impfenden Ärzt_innen über die Privatärztliche Bundesvereinigung (PBV)

    Robert Koch-Institut;

    Für die Planung von Maßnahmen zur Eindämmung von COVID-19 kommt der genauen Kenntnis der Eigenschaften von SARS-CoV-2 eine zentrale Bedeutung zu. Eine besondere Rolle spielen in diesem Zusammenhang Mutationen des Virus. Für eine erfolgreiche Eindämmung der Pandemie ist es daher entscheidend, einen detaillierten Überblick über die Ausbreitungsmuster spezifischer SARS-CoV-2-Mutationen zu erhalten und auch neue Mutation frühzeitig zu entdecken.Hierfür stellt das Robert Koch-Institut die Systeme zur bundesweiten molekularen Surveillance bereit. Jedes Labor in Deutschland, das SARS-CoV-2 sequenziert, ist laut der Verordnung zur molekulargenetischen Surveillance des Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 verpflichtet, dem Robert Koch-Institut die Sequenz- und zugehörige Metadaten zu übermitteln. Technisch erfolgt diese Übermittlung über den Deutschen Elektronischen Sequenzdaten-Hub (DESH).Im Projekt "OSEDA - Offene Sequenzdaten" verpflichtet sich das RKI, die aufgearbeiteten und qualitätskontrollierten Sequenzdaten zusammen mit einer Auswahl von klinisch-epidemiologischen Daten über die öffentlich zugängliche Repositorien des European Nucleotide Archive) und GISAID für weitere Forschungsvorhaben bereitzustellen.

    Im Datensatz 'COVID-19-Todesfälle in Deutschland' werden die Todesfälle in Bezug auf COVID-19 in Deutschland bereitgestellt. Darüber hinaus wird neben der Anzahl der übermittelten Todesfälle der Fall-Verstorbenen-Anteil berechnet. Angaben zum Tod zählen zu den melde- und übermittlungspflichtigen Inhalten. Bei der Ermittlung von Todesfällen und der Bewertung der entsprechenden Informationen in den Gesundheitsämtern unterschiedlich vorgegangen. In der Folge könnte es einerseits zu einer Unterschätzung der Anzahl der Todesfälle, andererseits zu einer Überschätzung des Anteils der Verstorbenen einer Infektionskrankheit kommen. Ausführlich Hinweise zur Datenerhebung und Interpretation können der Datensatzdokumentation entnommen werden.

    , Huth; , Cominola;

    This dataset consists of the results of the first European-Union-wide survey on the potential long-term impacts of COVID-19 on higher education (Huth, M. & Cominola, A., 2022 forthcoming), evaluating over 800 responses from students and faculty members of higher education institutions located in 17 different European countries. The data consists of variables related to the actual pre-pandemic, pandemic and intended future frequency of use of various educational tools and formats, as well as students and faculty members' attitude toward retaining digital teaching formats and media post-pandemic. The data is shared in SPSS file format (.sav) and as a .CSV file. A detailed item bank label overview is attached in excel format. The attitude related items consists of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) construct variables following items used by Rizun et al. (2021) and Vladova et al. (2021). Following guidelines (Hair et al. 2019; Henseler, Ringle, and Sarstedt 2015) to establish discriminant validity before analysing the TAM variables in a structural equation model, the objective had to be disregarded. The data might still yield interesting descriptive insights nonetheless, which is why they are published here along with the variables used in the forthcoming publication by Huth and Cominola (2022).

    Die COVID-19-Impfung kann einen Wendepunkt in der Kontrolle der COVID-19-Pandemie darstellen und erfährt daher hohes Maß an öffentlicher Aufmerksamkeit. Einführung und Umsetzung der COVID-19-Impfung gehen mit besonderen Herausforderungen einher, die bei der Impfdatenerfassung zu berücksichtigen sind. In diesem Kontext ist es Ziel des Projekts 'Digitales Impfquoten-Monitoring' (DIM), tagesaktuell, bundesweit die Impfquote zu erfassen und folgend aufbereitet darzustellen, um zeitnah den Verlauf der COVID-19-Impfkampanne zu analysieren, bei Bedarf nach zusteuern, und logistisch bzw. organisatorische Konsequenzen zu ziehen.Der durch das DIM-Projekt bereitgestellte Datensatz enthält Daten über den Verlauf der COVID-19 Impfungen in Deutschland. Die hier veröffentlichten Impfdaten aggregieren Daten aus drei Datenquellen:Die DIM-Daten enthalten Angaben der Impfzentren, mobilen Impfteams, Krankenhäuser und der Betriebsärzte_innen, die über die DIM-Webanwendung übermittelt werdenDer täglich aggregierte Kerndatensatz der impfenden Ärzt_innen über die Kassenärztliche Bundesvereinigung (KBV)Der täglich aggregierte Kerndatensatz der impfenden Ärzt_innen über die Privatärztliche Bundesvereinigung (PBV)
